Attractive hotel, very good value, excellent service. Unexpectedly good location near to smart seafood restaurants and an excellent Japanese restaurant (Wasabi Blue). A few yards to attractive sea front, great for walking/running.

No car park, but very easy free street parking (we parked opposite).

We booked this hotel on a recommendation and were not disappointed.

The hotel is split into two accomodation areas. We were on the second floor of the block overlooking the hotel swimming pool. Room was not the largest but at the price it met our needs because when you are in a resort like Palma you are not going to spend all day in a hotel room.

The hotel was immaculately clean, maintenance staff were evident, the pool was cleaned at least twice in our five day stay. The staff were excellent and happy to help.

The restaurant attached to the hotel was outstanding and prices were cheaper than other poorer restaurants round about.

The hotel is situated towards the airport end of Palma, is 50 yards from the beach, and is in a quiet street. If there is a down side you do get noise from air traffic either going in to or out of Palma Airport. The area round about is Spanish as against 'touristy' and the locals are more in evidence than the tourists.

The beach is clean, the sea is clean. We felt we were in a safe area. No sign of any undesirables. There were beggars aplenty in Palma old town, none in our area.

Everything we needed for a great break was available here at a very reasonable price.

We will return.

weve just returned from a short break at the portofino, the hotel was very clean and modern the staff were very helpful, the room was small which wasnt a problem for a 3 night stay. the aircon was really good and we had a fridge which was a bonus and we had a free safe,. the bathroom was really nice and it was immaculately clean.. the breakfast was good and the restaurant was one of the best italians ive ever been to, the vegetarian lasagne was enough for a family of four and it was really tasty! the beach was at the bottom of the street, one minute away.we didnt use the pool but it looked really clean and there was always sunbeds spare. the walk into palma was really nice, and took about an hour just strolling. the airport took 8 minutes in a taxi and cost 12 euros. the beach was really nice the bars were expensive round about but the bar in the hotel was a lot cheaper. The only problem was the beds were hard and we found it hard to sleep unless we had had a few drinks .

Visisted in early October, it's an honest three star hotel, clean, realxing and 20 meters far from the beach. Lots of restaurants in the surroundings, but if you want a really good paella go to El Bungalow, 100 meters north on the beach.
Rooms are not tiny, clean and bathrooms good; personnel is kind and available.
