Our room was 107 in the block across the courtyard from reception. The room was a good size and well presented with modern fittings. The bathroom was the highlight of the room with a fantastic rainwater style shower head. There was no view from our room as the building opposite was taller but I suspect that this is the case in much of the old town. The room had a juliet balcony. The location of the hotel was perfect for us as it is right in the heart of the old town and walking distances from the hotel to attractions, restaurants and shops were short. Plaza de Espana is very close and the airport bus stops here making it very easy to get to. The reception area and bar is very nice as is the courtyard. Reception staff were always polite and very helpful.
Now for the drawbacks.
1)The walls in our block seemed very thin, meaning we could hear the conversations (and movements) of those in rooms around us so if you sleep light, take some earplugs.
2)The in-room safe works with a key from reception but you have to give them 50 Euros in cash as a deposit to get it. They wouldn't take a deposit by card. Not wanting to return home with any Euros, we handed in our key the evening before we left so that the returned deposit would pay for dinner!
3) There are no tea/coffee making facilities
4)Free Wifi is advertised and is available but there was no coverage in our room so had to sit in reception. If this is important to you, get a room in the same block as reception .
5) We had to approach reception when no shampoo and soap were left for us after daily cleaning on 2 occasions - but as a result they gave us more then we could use.
6) The beds were twin, pushed together to form a double but with all bedding tucked down between them, making them twin again! if you want a double bed, I would check with reception first.
Overall, whilst I've listed quite a few things that we disliked, our feeling about the hotel is positive due to the rooms and location.
