Booked this hotel at short notice when visiting my brother in hospital. I wanted a central hotel with comfort and good business facilities. This was perfect, close to shops, transports, sights, harbour. Excellent service from desk staff, good room with free wifi everywhere for £81 per night. Jazz bar was a real treat, good food and drink and excellent musicians on 3 of my 5 nights there. Nice pool, gym and spa, but too much to do and see in Palma to need these.
Returning next week and will stay here again, very convenient and safe for a woman travelling alone.

My husband and I have just stayed at the Hotel Saratoga for one night. This is the third time we have stayed at this hotel as the location is just perfect for shopping and city sightseeing. We stayed on the first floor and did not smell the drains as has been written about previously. We had a junior suite with a balcony overlooking the courtyard . It was extremely clean as it always is when we visit. We always use this elegant hotel when visiting Palma. The Jazz club is perfect for an evenings entertainment but the food there is not the best. We would have a meal in Palma previously to finishing with a drink at the club. There is a good breakfast buffet.

The previous reviews of the Hotel Saratoga strike me as pretty representative. Good location (equidistant between Old Town, shops and the port bars), friendly reception staff, nice jazz bar on the 6th floor and great views of the city from the roof-top pool.

On the debit side: tired rooms with a slight whiff of drains and it's not particularly easy on the eye, either inside or out. We didn't eat at the hotel so cannot comment on dinner or breakfast.

We went out of season (mid November) and got a good deal for a 2-night stay but I'm pretty sure I wouldn't want to stay at a busier time of year (or for a longer period). Average.

good position in the town, near all shops bars restaurants.
room clean and ok, beds ok but pillows old and flat,
room to hot and no a/c, it only works in the summer, the rest of the year it only blows hot, despite it being 22 outside
hot breakfasts were disgusting who wants to eat cold egg bacon sausage and beans, cold selection looked fine, i see several contributors have complained of this, but they do nothing, just installing a microwave would help.
