Myself and my girlfriends from way back when take a little city break each autumn which has gradually changed into a mini sun holiday. I booked this hotel based on a generally positive rating from tripadvisor and struck gold! Some times we end up with poor-ish rooms as we are looking for three singles in one room (our group varies from 4-7). Not so the Armadams. WE had almost palatial proportion sto what I suspect is a family room. The room itself was enormous (by European standards) but the best part was when we opened a curtain to discover a little sitting room with a sofabed, tv and reading desk. Lo and behold a second curtain yielded a private terrace where we could sunbathe and partake of rather more cava than we should admit to. Our nightly ritual rapidly turned to a couple of bottles before heading out for dinner. We also had a private entrance to the pool, gym, sauna, steamroom, jacuzzi etc. There is even a free sunbed, a little bit difficult to understand with the abundant good weather.
The breakfast was excellent and plentiful with lots of variety served by v helpful staff. The shower was fantastic with so much space and two good sized hand basins. Somewhat unbelievably the hotel offered us a 5pm check out so we could go to the beach for our last day.
We had one minor glitch involving a lost safe key (no master!). It cost €50 to replace but a very pleasant young lady on reception arranged to attend at the opening of the safe by a private company so we would not have to wait in for the day.
This hotal is well located, near enough to walk to the old town (taxis are very cheap) and is clean, spacious, and has numerous facilities, all free of charge. Get thee to the Armadams....
Room Tip: No 1 bus from airport is €2 and get off at the stop outside the costa azul hotel. It's a 2 minut...
