Clean and friendly staff. Facilities are far better than you would expect for a 1 star. only small negatives are you can hear the rooms next door and it would be good to be closer to the sea, but you would know that when booking.

Nice hotel this: very well located (five minutes walk and you're into the city centre, 10 mins to Placa Mayor, 15ish to he Cathedral; main bus/train station 5 mins walk away), very friendly staff and decent rooms (not enormous, but fitted an extra third bed in without problem. In fact, unlike many hotels, the third bed was already there and the desk gave us a choice of options rather than the usual situation where they scrutinise your booking for ages before telling you they'll bring a makeshift third bed up at some point in the day!)

Just one quibble: the wifi's not great-was told it only works in lower floors and cables were available for people to plug laptops into wall sockets on higher floors. In actual fact, you could sometimes pick up the wifi signal on 4th floor, but not always, and it was erratic.

Oh, and we found it very easy to blow the fuse in our room! There'll be a fusebox secreted on the wall to put it right!

We stayed at the Colon for a night before flying home the next day.The hotel is pretty central on a lovely street surrounded by great Tapas bars. The reception staff were excellent, very friendly & professional. Our room was clean, modern and adequate. Great price too, would definitely recommend & visit again.

We stayed here for just 1 night.
We wanted to see Palma de Mallorca by day and by night, sleep over and go to the airport. This hotel served this purpose very well. Especially for the price we paid!
The room and bathroom is very tiny – however very clean. This is very important to me. There is free internet connection in the room – which was nice.
Personnel was very helpful, helped with getting around, directions and taxi to the airport.
One full day is enough to see all Palma.
I would suggest to anyone for short stays as ours.
