I stayed at the Riu with my Mum. Not many people spoke English but that did not bother us. The hotel is for people who want a quiet holiday, if you are noisy you will not fit in. The food was amazing and I ate far too much! The good points about this hotel are that the standard of the Riu is great, cleaned to a high standard, great beach and pool. The bad points are that there is not much to do nearby the hotel, the shop to buy water etc is about 20 minutes walk about (the one 10 minutes away closed due to being off-season) and there was a lot of stairs!! They also had a fantastic steam room and jacuzzi which we chilled in every day. I would sum up the holiday as a great place to visit just the once if you want a quiet week in Europe. My Mum loved it but said that she would not want to visit the island again because once you have done it, you have done it! Be careful that you are not in a room too close to reception because you will hear the night entertainment. We asked for a quiet room but was put in one by the reception, outside the TV room, opposite the toilets and next to the entertainment... eerrrmmmm I don't think we could have been put in a more noisy room if they tried!
