Well all is good at the Riu La Mola just spent 2 weeks there for the first time, been back one day and have booked today for 2012.
The staff from the manager down through all the staff are wonderful they just keep smiling and do all they can to look after you.
Best hotel we have been to and far from being the most expensive, in fact I think it is best value for money on Formentera and we have been going to the island each year for about 25 years.

We spent 10 days of our honeymoon there and had a lovely time. Food was very good standard and plenty of choice. Wasn’t impressed on arrival though as i was told that we might not be able to get the early sitting for dinner – we have a 2 year old boy so we needed early sitting. Anyway that was sorted, although we couldn’t eat outside for a few nights as they said it might rain. i expect to eat al fresco on holiday but after a couple of nights we got a lovely outside table. Would be good if for ½ board you could swop the dinner for a lunch sometimes as 10 nights in same place for dinner is a bit much.

Anyway beach is fab and we didn’t pay the 6 euros per sun lounger – rip of really. Pool was great and because we went end of May it wasn’t too busy.

Staff were excellent and hard workers – entertainment staff were very funny and friendly.

We got upgraded to a bungalow free of charge so that’s always a great start to a holiday. Babysitting is available from reception and we would recommend the dive school nearby – good for beginners anyway.

Piratebus is a bar/shack near by and is pretty cool, so also is Flipper an chilli.

Cleaning at hotel was very good and the standard of the accommodation was spot on. Remote controlled air con but we didn’t really need it.

Lovely quiet hotel and very well laid out – so even though it;s a large hotel there feels lots of space around.

Also gardens are fab and the smell of jasmine everywhere.

The Brigitte nielson look alike of hotel manager runs a tight ship and I would deffo stay at a Riu again.

Formentera a lovely island and locals very friendly. It’s expensive for sure but we got a great deal at the hotel so deffo value for money. Go and enjoy, wish i was there now instead of rainy London!!

We just got back from staying at the Hotel Riu. The staff were fantastic. Everything we asked they did with a smile and with heart. We enjoyed the buffet and variety of foods and the friendly waiters and waitresses. The hotel was very clean and we enjoyed our ocean view room. We felt looked after which is what a good holiday is all about.

We've been 12 days in Riu La Mola and we enjoy the hotel. The truth is that, in our tours in Formentera, we have not seen any hotel better than Riu. It's a very small island without big hotels. The buffet is good, the room is nice, the service is good, the pool is small (for the number of guests) the location is good, because is in a quiet part of the island and the hotel have a Bus station, so you can go by bus wherever you want. The best of the hotel is the service...the people, they are fantastic, very friendly and always available to help you.. even the General Manager, a lady wich is always concerned with the guests.
Be prepared to imagine that you are in Italy, because there are so many italians in Formentera that it seems that the official language is italian....
