This hotel is excellently placed. Our room overlooked the pedestrian street but the early morning street cleaner woke us up both mornings. On the plus side, the street was always very clean (perhaps we should have the same in the UK!)
Our room was quite small. Our friends had a much bigger one. Luck of the draw.
This hotel is not big, but crammed to the rafters with 'objets d'art'. When my husband arrived with the cases (there is no lift, but there is a stannah!) he thought I was stood in the gift shop. I was stood on the landing outside our room, but it had so many statues and loads of mirrors, it took a few minutes to get a sense of direction. No breakfast, but the Casablance cafe close by did a mean spanish omelette. The receptionist, who appeared to work out of little more than a cupboard, was very helpful. The car park in the next street was full and very cramped. We ended up parking in the Cathedral car park a short walk away. No problems and much more room.
Vitoria was an unexpected delight and this hotel was only €50 a night. Very good value.
