Are we there yet? the hotel *does not* use the name Sercotel on the outside and is right next to the Boulevard Shopping centre, free parking and free wifi in the reception lounge, if you have a lan cable with you you can use the internet in your room. Bed was on the small side and very hard, rather too hard to have good nights sleep, overall very good with excellent reception staff who speak Spanish, English French and German, Best coffee from the cafe in the hotel. In the nearby shopping centre top floor, endless fast food available, including Kebabs !

Sercotel Boulevard is ideal for overnight or if you book a junior suite longer stays as it has a kitchenette with microwave two induction rings small fridge and sink,there are a small selection of Restaurants in the adjoining Eroski shopping mall and the old town is approx 15 minutes walk away which was easy to find with the help of the really friendly receptionist.The bedroom and bathroom were a good size and spotless good climate control throughout and a large very comfortable bed,we really enjoyed our stay in this lovely hotel which if you book on the internet in advance is on a par for price with some of the budget chains would stay here again.

The hotel itself is perfect. Really clean and BIG room. The service was great, and we got some really valuable information from front desk: which buses to catch, how to get around the city, what to see, where to eat (El Portalon, expensive but VERY good and beautiful) and even where to watch Brazil X Portugal World Cup game (we're Brazilian :-).

There's also a shopping mall acrosss the street and a restaurant downstairs, but we never got to use any of them!

The only downside is that the hotel is a bit far off the downtown area. It's not a lot (keep in mind Vitoria isn't a big city) and during the day it is really bearable, specially with bus services running one block from the hotel. But since we went to the Azkena Rock Festival, which ended 3 AM everyday, we had to get a cab each day to the hotel (10 EUR).

It is not centrally located (you have to walk around 17 to 20 minutes to reach city centre). Sadly not a particularly inspiring one, through dull streets and 60’s workers homes. You always have the chance to drive down (less than 5 minutes) and locate a place for the car closer to downtown
There is a parking lot outside the hotel, but still no problem as nearby there is a huge (standard) shopping centre with lots of parking spaces.
Room is regular size, more Spartan than minimalist décor and spotless clean. Huge bathroom although no bathtub. LCD TV set. Big space for your luggage. Confy bed.
We got an internet deal (discount per early booking) of 51 EUR per 1 night (bed only, no breakfast), using hotel website. There we consider this to be a great deal, comparing with other more centrally located but older and more pretentious hotels, that charge you more than twice this number.
