A wonderful place to get to know Eusadi and Euskara. Plenty of Basque language around, a very friendly village 10 minutes walk away with a restaurant and museums. Stunning, typically Basque countryside. Beautiful old house. Very nice owner.
Don't expect a full English breakfast - expect things like bread with jam/olive oil, slice of sponge cake, thermos of coffee and milk (toaster and microwave provided) - not a problem as it had a very low price to match.
Some of the walls are very thin - be quiet to avoid disturbing other guests.
Not an easy place to get to on public transport - check out http://www.goierriturismo.com The train station is a €20 taxi ride away. If you have no car you depend on the good, basic taverns in Zerain. But the rural location is part of the charm and there are some lovely walks in the surrounding countryside.

“Excellent Rural House. 280 year old place... just for you!”

We hosted recently in this rural house which seemed a quiet and beautiful logement.

It is a 280 year old traditional basque house absolutely restored with original materials.

It is located between Zerain and Mutiloa, in a really beautiful place, in the middle of a green landscape.

It has 6 double rooms and can be rented the whole house or by rooms. We paid 55 euros a room (VAT included), breakfast not included. You can also cook your each meal by a small fee.Our room had a big balcony but others even had a large terrace.

The owner, Maria Luisa, is very kind and his son lives on the other part of the house (it is so large that you don't notice anything). There is also a small cider restaurant but we din't have any noise.

Concluding, a great experience: an incredible house in a precious place to discover the inner real basque country and a extremely beautiful landscape.

Absolutely recomended!
