We have just returned from a three night stay in Bilbao, and were thoroughly impressed by this hotel. The lobby is ultra modern looking, with large spacious windows and an elegant design. The reception staff were also most helpful, speaking English and Castillian. The room was very spacious, finished to a very high standard with a contemporary feel. The bed was comfortable, and shower was very powerful. The staff were very promt in their service, bringing extra pillows and a corkscrew on request.
The hotel restaurant offers a daily set menu, which is of good quality and choice, although this was not busy at the time we stayed and therefore lacked the atmosphere of a Spanish restaurant.
The only gripe we had with this hotel was its location. From the airport bus in Plaza Moyua, the walk to the hotel is rather long, half of which is uphill. Casco Viejo is situated half way on the walk, which is good for a pintxo and cana. Because of its location, I would not recommend this hotel to the elderly, unless you are prepared to regularly use public transport or taxis.
Overall, a classy hotel in a cool city and definitely worth a visit.
