Spent 2 nights here in May 2011. Room was clean but there were some areas that needed to be painted and the ceiling in the bathroom looked like it had water damage. Not a big fan of the decor. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Location was good, close to the train station and shopping area. About 5 minutes walk to the cathedral and old part of town. Would pick another hotel next time.

I was traveling with my mum, and we liked the atmosphere (the staff was friendly and the cafe a cosy place for breakfast) but I did not sleep well due to street noises all night long. I had to add that I cannot sleep with earplugs in; maybe if you wear those it would be OK. One other minor point of complaint is that they gave my mum and me a double bed although I had explained the situation when booking online and had asked for a twin room. They allowed us to change after one night (after extensively practising my best Spanish) but unfortunately this room was a bit cramped. Although the hotel has its charms I will pay a little bit more next time for a quieter, more spacious place

Our third floor room was an “artist garret” with the only light and ventilation being a window that opened on the slanted ceiling. No airconditioning - it would be impossible to stay in room if it was summer - and intense street noise 24-hours a day! Sleep is impossible. All rooms are street side.
Wi-Fi server was down 85% of the time. Bathroom was adequate but shower head sprayed water in several directions. We had made reservations for 3 nights but cancelled the 3rd night and left for Cordoba. The staff was friendly, but that does not make up for two sleepness nights that cost US$180.
