Stayed here Aug 2010 in room 107. This comfortable room most usefully overlooks the back of the building and does not pick up the sound of the noisy traffic at the front. There were no sounds from the neighbours. There really is a need to ask for a quiet room. This hotel has otherwise little to fault apart from the terrace which also faces on to the road. As the hotel is perhaps 20 minutes away from the centre in a very good residential area we had dinner there on both nights and the food was very nicely cooked. Menu was standard fayre. Dinner also was by Spanish standards not late. The hotel is about 15 minutes from the main coach station if you get your directions right. Just by the main rail station (Uria) on either side there are long escalators up to a large square and you then go to the left hand side of that square and follow a good google map up a hill to the hotel. The staff were very courteous and affable, only one spoke no English, and service was good. The whole hotel was spotless.
The centre of this ancient university city is welcoming – a good place to be. The old town is very nice and there are some restaurants close to the old market square. The Museo de Belle Arts close by the cathedral is well worth a visit.
If you fly, then there is a frequent efficient and cheap bus service to Oviedo bus station.
I would have no hesitation in staying here again
