“Glad I discovered aparthotels!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 January 2012

This was the first time I'd used an apartment hotel in Europe. The one bed, one bath apartment was quite spacious, and while the kitchen was rather rudimentary, it was good enough for our purposes. I could heat water on a stovetop, there was a microwave and refrigerator, so I could do easy meals. Lots of places to eat within walking distance. We were in Oviedo exploring the surrounding Asturias, for 3 nights, and it was perfect for our needs. Very centrally located, adequate buffet breakfast in our negotiated price via Hotels.com, and parking was included. That was the only tricky part, as the drive down into the various floors is very steep and twisty, and the parking spots not the easiest for what I'm used to, but then, I haven't driven all that much in Europe. My Jetta diesel manual shift was great to drive, but this was still the only challenge. I drove over much of Spain and that is a real pleasure itself--great roads, highways, wonderful!

The hotel is a short walk from the old city center, and quite convenient to local shops. We had internet and could play our DVDs as well, and since we could come and go as we pleased, without having to worry about a maid, and with lots of room, what more would we want? The cleanliness was great, the hotel staff very pleasant and helpful, and while it is on the corner of a very busy street, the noise wasn't excessive for us. Since we were there in March, the lack of air conditioning wasn't a concern, but I can see how that might be other times of the year.

I agree with another reviewer: "The cost was less than what one might spend on a standard room. A pretty good bang for the buck. It was not posh, but clean, contemporary and well maintained."

Room Tip: possibly the rooms on the uppermost floors would be best to get away from traffic noise, but it real...

“Nice hotel if you don't want to sleep”

The hotel is clean and the staff is nice but it's facing one of the busiest roads of Oviedo. I couldn't sleep with the noise even with the window closed and there was no air conditioning. No tea and coffee appliances in the kitchen and not even a toaster. Internet was okay. I will not stay here again.

“Great location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 January 2011

The hotel is conveniently located so that you can easily walk to the university, downtown, shopping, historical area and restaurants. Since we had 3 people, we stayed in a suite with a small kitchen, living/dining room, bathroom and a bedroom. All had doors that open and close on a small foyer which has the door to the hotel hallway. The couch was a foldout bed, which was okay but not as comfortable as a regular bed. Rather than 1 bed in the bedroom, it is 2 beds pushed together. They were almost double sized but bigger than a singles. The kitchen had dishes, pots and pans, cook top, microwave and refrigerator. The heat was hard to adjust but after a day, we got it where it was comfortable. There is a restaurant at the hotel, but we didn't use it because we had the kitchen or ate elsewhere. The hotel overlooks a ronda with a fountain, so the traffic can be noisy. Since I travel with earplugs, they solved that problem. The staff was very nice and they have city maps available. There was always a bowl of candy at the front desk. The cost was less than what one might spend on a standard room. A pretty good bang for the buck. It was not posh, but clean, contemporary and well maintained. We would stay there again. Take a look at their photos online. They are true to what is there. We would stay there again.

“Fantastic, spacious apartment/hotel with excellent service, well located, at a great price”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 November 2010

The good: Highly efficient, helpful, and friendly service. Spacious and accommodating, with a well-equipped kitchen and modern, simple decor. Impeccably clean. Free wireless internet inside the rooms. 5-10 minute walk away from the center of Oviedo. Exceptionally clean.

The bad: Safety deposit boxes are located in reception and not inside the apartment, which is uncomfortable. Can get noisy since it is on a main road that connects to a highway. The shower head (which is European style) has a base, but falls easily with the water pressure. The curtain sticks to your body while showering, which can get tricky.

“Nice budget hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 July 2006

I was in a bussines trip for a week in Oviedo. This hotel is perfect for this kind of trips as you are only there to sleep. Rooms are clean and staff is very helpful. Low points for me where the breakfast (five days and nothing change even a bit) and room size (small for a aparthotel but large enough for a typical hotel). Very convinient location, just at the end of the freeway from the airport to the city so you don't have to deal with traffic. Parking on premises although with an additional cost. Close to restaurants and the commercial area.
