I can't remember how I found out about this hotel but I have been back to it and would recommend it to others. It's a bit isolated on the edge of Gijon in a handsome ex-government building. Yes, you do have to drive through a light industrial estate to get to it but don't let that put you off.
For me, it's ideal because you are on the main east-west motorway in 5 minutes so is handy for Asturias airport and as a base for exploring the Picos etc.
The rooms are large and very comfortable, breakfast is excellent, and the staff are very friendly. And it's excellent value.
I got lost when I first tried to find it so make sure you get clear directions from them in advance.
