We only stayed at the AC Gijon but were impressed by the high standard of the hotel. The gym was good and also included a Turkish bath (although we didn't try it). The breakfast was excellent. The minibar was free although Internet access wasn't.
The hotel is located on the edge of the city but it's an easy drive in to the city centre if you have a car. For us, staying there only one night, it proved ideal as it was situated so close to the highway.

Anyone here on a touristic or business visit will enjoy this hotel. Everything is new, simple and efficient. The rooms are very modern and they hotel is all wi fi (its not free though). All the furniture is posh and modern although I wished there was a safety deposit box. Service is excellent especially Enrique, the concierge who goes all out to help you.
Minor gripes- its not in the center of the city but its within 7-10 minute drive. Wifi is great but expensive.
Overall, definitely would stay here again. Gijon is a lovely city as well with its glorious beaches and very nice old city center.
