Much of what the other reviewers say is true for our stay but we probably had it a bit better as we went in October. The hotel has two floors above the bar/sideria and the hotel is therefore enfused with the smell of cider and seafood. The owner and other staff were nice and friendly.
When the weather is warm and people are sitting outside in the square you get the noise of drinkers and revellers and passing buskers. We had this even in October but because the weather was cooler we could close the windows and we were armed with ear plugs (essential). I'd recommend you ask for second floor rooms to give you a layer between the bar and your bedroom. We also took earplugs which made a lot of difference. Our room was at the back and was quieter than our friends at the front who were overlooking the square. We could still hear the bagpipe playing buskers piping the theme to Star Wars though! The location is fantastic, right by the main square and a few metres from the beach. There is no air conditioning so in summer the rooms must get hot so it would be harder to shut out the noise, but if you go Spanish style and eat out late and drink late then the noise wouldn't be so much of an issue. I think it was still going on until 4 in the morning, so the challenge is to stay out that late.
Breakfast is 4 euros each, basic fare of coffee and bread and jam and cakes. Lots of lovely cafes nearby to go to for other breakfasts.
Overall we enjoyed our stay but we were only there for 3 nights and I have no idea what it would be like in the high season and heat. We didn't have our children with us but I wouldn't recommend it for children as they wouldn't sleep with earplugs. I would recommend it for a weekend break for adults though.
Cleanliness was fine in our bedroom and the hotel area.
We paid just under 50 euros a night for the room - I think if you paid much more you would expect more but for this it was good value. We were there for a wedding so lots of friends were dotted around town at other places - others had noise issues too and most people thought we had the best location. Parking is 9 euros a night.
