I stayed here for 2 nights during a business conference. The room in this hotel was large, quiet and clean. And the hotel is centrally located, very close to the train station and the tourist sites. The hotel has a bit old fashoned outlook. But this is very nice. The personal in the hotel were very friendly and helpful for everything.

We stayed in Gijon for two nights. Really liked this hotel, it has a 'old fashioned' quality (in a good way). Unlike many city hotels it didnt feed like a corporate institution. My initial impression of the room was that it was dark, but that was just because of the shutters. The room was large, bright and very clean with plenty of storage space. There was a separate sitting / tv area which proved useful. The bed was very big and comfortable. Bathroom good size. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. It was worth having the hotel breakfast, there were three options at different prices, it was really good and staff were very pleasant. Overall impression is of a very well run, comfortable hotel. Would recommend it highly.

After an overnight crossing from the UK it was our first hotel booking of the holiday and the first time we've been to Northern Spain. There was a parking layby immediately outside allowing you to drop your bags off, excellent car park just down the road.

We were met by extremely friendly and helpful staff and our room was immaculate with a superb Bathroom. This hotel offers great value for money and shows the big chain hotels how to do it.

The Hotel is quite centrally located making it easy to walk to either of the two beaches or promenade areas. In a car it is difficult to find in all the one way streets.
If you have a car I would recommend parking in the Plaza de Europa car park. Its 2 minutes from the hotel and when you leave its very easy to find the main road out of Gijón and just as easy to get back into. Remember though to ask staff for A DISCOUNT VOUCHER. We had been parked for 7 nights before 1 of the car park staff asked us were our voucher was. It saves you 2 € a day! When we asked staff they just looked a bit guilty and handed us a voucher for the last night. They had given us directions to the car park in the first place.There are plenty of tapas bars nearby and most sell excellent food. Our room overlooked the casino so during the week was fairly quiet. On a weekend it was necessary to close both the outer and inner window to keep out the noise of the show.
Would recommend the mini special breakfast for 21/2 €, unless you want a large meal.
Our room was cleaned every day and sheets & towels changed every other day.
