Stayed here one night on business. a very warm welcome from an English-speaking receptionist boded well, but that was the high point. Room was ok, though I dislike wooden floors personally (especially when they feel tacky like this one). A/C was noisy for sleeping. Nice bathroom though last guest's towel had not been cleared. What brought me up short was requesting an iron: when I guessed reception's number (no phone directory in the room) I was brusquely told there is no iron in the hotel. I later spoke to a manager (actually to complain about the staff at breakfast turning on the TV *and* the music - I was the only person there and they initially refused to turn the TV sound down) and when I told him about the iron conversation, thinking it must be a language issue, he confirmed there is none. His only suggestion was that they have a laundry service - no use to a one-night stayer with a creased shirt like me, or thousands of other business travellers. How can this place claim to be a business hotel and not have a single iron on the premises?
On the plus side there is free and reasonably quick wifi everywhere, which I must applaud, because I am getting increasingly hacked off with hotels charging €5 an hour for something that makes 1990s modems look speedy.
