We came to this hotel as a second option based upon recommendations in Lonely Planet. There is a MESS of construction going on in town and it took over 1 hour to find this place due to all the road closures. If youŕe not used to Spanish streets, basically,... if thereś a street sign, assume itś a street even if people are walking and it looks more like a sidewalk.
The staff was friendly and helpful and spoke English. Secured Parking is very convenient for 12Euros and located just under the hotel. The room is basic. We were in Room 206 and it reminded me of U.S. Super 8. Clean and sufficient. To turn the lights on, you must keep your key card inserted into the wall unit as you come in. Remove it and you have maybe 2 minutes before electricity goes out in your unit.
This place has A\C, however, ours didnt work and we were too exhau sted from the driving and arriving late to be bothered complaining about it. We just opened the window. Bathroom was sufficient with toilet and Biday. Breakfast is included. It was unfortunately atrocicious for us but maybe others liked it better. Doughy croissants and muddy coffee, toast and butter or jam and orange juice.
Positives: friendly staff, central location to Basilica, shopping, other sites, economically priced at 60Euros on a Wednesday, Free WiFi in room, about 10 channels on the T.V., nearby and private parking
Negatives: check that air conditioning works in your room, difficult to find (look for the signs they´ve posted)
