I've been hosted in Conquistador Hotel (3 star) in Zaragoza during august 2005. In a few words: you can choose other hotels in the city and your stay will be better.
I selected this hotel for a main reason: I travelled by bus to the city and the location is great (just 75 mtrs from the main bus station, less than 200 to other principal one and just on the back of a third). It was also close from the downtown (15 minutes walking).
Well, the location is the best i can say of it. The hotel is a old fashioned building (for instance, the air conditioning is regulated by the staff for each floor so you can't do antything to regulate the temperature of the room), the staff probably only speaks spanish (is a traditional spanish traveller oriented hotel) and the service is not great (except for the breakfast wich is ok and the server is really nice woman...).
In a few words: if you arrive in Zaragoza on your own car there are better options: narrower to the city historical center: Melia, Palafox, NH Ciudad de Zaragoza... in more recent buildings and with better services (an example: i was told that the parking of the Conquistador was very small, if you have a large car -Renault Laguna, Volvo BMW or similar- you may have problems to park it...)
Just to finish: I've been reading the other review and it is not of the Conquistador hotel of Zaragoza but of a hotel of the Canary Islands so don't take it into account.
