“Will be back someday”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 July 2011

The Hotel is right in the main square of town. The rooms were clean and the girl at reception desk was very helpfull. Her knowledge of the English language guided us to make the best out of the 2 days we had planned in Zaragoza. We had no other contacts with the hotel staff. The air condition which is controlled from the reception area will be switched off during the night and you will probably wake up during the night because of the heat. Apart from that our room was overlooking the alley on the side of the hotel and apparantly this ally is used by coffee bars to lay out their tables and chairs. I must admit that Saturday night was horrible with the sound from people outside, dragging till 5.00am. The next night (being Sunday) was extremely quiet. No tables and chairs and no noisy people below our window.
Zaragoza is a wonderful city and having accomodation so close to the centre makes you forget the tiny negative things things of the hotel. The hotel even gave us a discount on the parking fee in a closeby underground garage.
The restaurant opposite the hotel offers a buffet menu twice a day for €13.99 with a choice of about 80 dishes.
If I ever get the chance to visit Zaragoza again, I would definately choose the Husa Via Romana as my hotel. I would only try to avoid Saturdays.

“Location could not be better”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 September 2010

The location could not have been better and the price was also very affordable. If you want to explore the heart of Zaragoza, then this a brilliant place to base yourself.

The standard rooms were clean and comfortable, absolutely no complaints there.

Breakfast was adequate, served in a dining room with quite an old-fashioned vibe about it. Something just isn’t right about a waiter in full black and whites complete with dickey bow for Breakfast! The coffee could be improved; it was from a machine and tasted like instant coffee.

As other reviewers have said, the noise from the street could be an irritant for some. For us it was not an issue at all, but we live on a busy street at home. So, if the hustle and bustle of buses and cars outside your window is not like a lullaby to you then yes it could disturb you.

On one night the temperature in the room was a real problem, it was unbearably hot. There was AC but not that could be controlled from the room. I had a very restless night.

Yes I would stay there again, but would make sure in advance the AC was on/working.

“Amazing location, nice rooms, not much sleep.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 April 2010

This is a nice hotel right in the heart of Zaragoza. The rooms are spacious, the beds are comfortable and the rooms spotlessly clean. However the staff are indifferent at best and downright rude at worst and the noise from the street and the other guests made a good night's sleep difficult. If you are looking for a place to roll back into after a night out on the tiles this is the hotel for you. If you are hoping to sleep then maybe you should look a bit further out of town.

“No sleep”

If it wasn't the street noises it was the help getting ready to clean. We heard the snorring next to us. Location was good. City is a great find but next time we'll read the reviews first!

“Location, Location, Location......”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 June 2008

This hotel is quite normal..... nothing special except its location. The street can be quite noisy at night so I recommend ear plugs. I was charged €169 for 1 night..... All hotels in Zaragoza are taking advantage of us tourists during EXPO 2008. If prices were not so inflated I would have stayed in Zaragoza many more nights but I decided to spend my money in other Spanish cities.
