“Better Than Advertized”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 December 2009

I recently had to go to zaragoza for a business trip and have to admit that I was a little bit concerned about staying at the Hotel Boston after reading some of the reviews. As the hotel was the recommended hotel for the company that I work for, I decided to try the hotel and then write my own review.
I have to say that I was quite pleased with every aspect of my stay at the Hotel Boston. located in downtown Zaragoza, it is relatively to navigate to and from. The hotel staff were very professional, polite and helpful from the doorman to the cleaning staff. The room was much larger than other hotel rooms found in Europe. The bathroom was immaculate and the towels were plush and soft (not all that commonly experienced if you've traveled much in Europe). Amenities in the bathroom included all number of items including soap, shampoo, lotion, a comb, shaving cream and razor, shower cap and other sundry items. The bed was large and comfortable. The television was a wall-mounted HD TV.
I enjoyed the hotel restaurant and the bar. The food was suprisingly reasonable in price. The portions were ample and the food was as described in the menu. I would like to relate an incident that happened at the bar. There were six of us staying at the hotel- all from different countries. I bought a couple of rounds of drinks for my collegues one evening. the next night, we showed up at the bar again and the bar manager informed me that I had a credit for one round of drinks for my group. It turns out that two of us in the group had paid for a round, but we had consumed less than what was paid for. This error was something that the bar staff could have simply pocketed and no one would have ever been the wiser. The truth is that the bar staff was honest with us and that impressed me more than any other aspect of my trip.
The front desk provided detailed directions and recommendations for local restaurants and provided prompt service when we requested taxi services.
I would not hesitate to recommend the hotel to anyone traveling to Zaragoza. I am looking forward to my next visit as well.

“Nice Grand Hotel, Great Staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 August 2009

Bottom Line up Front: The only thing keeping me from giving this hotel an overall rating of "5" was the room temperature (which I and seemingly nobody else could control). Allegedly the front desk can change your room temperature upon request. After 3 days of requesting my room temp. be set a few days cooler, I gave up. Either they were saving money on electricity or there was a mechanical problem. I don't sleep well in a hot room so this was a BIG deal to me. I will be returning in the future but not the hottest month of summer so hopefully this will not be a factor.

Other than the room temp, the staff was wonderful. From the bellhop, to the front desk, to the bartenders. They treat the group I travel with very well (we stay frequently).

“Needs Renovation”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 June 2006

Far too expensive for what it is, and that is too bad, because this hotel has the potential to be awesome. It truly is in need of major renovation. The pink and orange decor accented by light colored wood is oddly loud and plain at the same time. The lobby is nice, the staff is wonderful, and the rooms are clean. They need to invest in this place and renovate.

Also, location is on the outskirts so not the best.

“Perfect but lacks sparkle”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 July 2005

I have stayed in the Boston several times now.

Vast lobby which leads to a lounge and a coffee-shop type area. Down the escalators to the bar and the dining room. No windows but often superb food.

The rooms are immaculate, spotless and......well, uninspiring.

The city centre is close, parking is below the hotel, food is great, but really if you are in Zaragoza for business this may well be the best hotel in town but tourists need to be a bit more adventurous.
