The Pension has a lot of small rooms and 2 apartments. This review applies only to the apartment on the top floor. We rented it for 4 nights and it was great at any price and remarkable for 60 euros. The bedroom has 2 comfortable twin beds. There is a nice dining room with a sofa, chairs, and a flat-screen TV. There is a fully equipped kitchen that includes a washing machine, pots and pans, dishes, microwave, stove, and an ironing board. The bathroom has a shower in a tiny tub, a hair drier, etc. There appears to be an air conditioner but we did not use it. The windows out to the pedestrian walkway have big roll-down shades that keep out light and help keep out what little noise there is out there. There is access to a terrace on the roof that has clotheslines, clothespins, and a table and chairs.
The location is about perfect--in the tourist district with easy walking distance to the cathedral, the Alcazar, and the river. There are many restaurants in the area and you can buy food nearby. But watch out for the bakery that is across the street to the right as you emerge from the pedestrian walkway--he held back 5 euros from my change and it was clear from his expression when I caught it that it was not an innocent mistake! I continued to buy there but counted my change.
The owner speaks little English but is very helpful and has people he can call on when language is a problem. He saved me a lot of money on cab fare by telling me how to take the airport bus (Especial Aeropuerto) from the airport to the nearby Jardines del Prado.
