We stayed at Hotel Museo for one night, before heading to Córdoba. The hotel is located close to the Quadalquivir River, very near the main bus station at Plaza de Las Armas It is only a short walk to the Plaza de Toros de la Maestranza bull ring. The room was smallish, but spotless, sleek, and modern. The included breakfast was tasty and very Spanish--orange juice, café con leche, and tosta (toasted roll). Personally, I enjoy staying closer to, or within, Barrio Santa Cruz and the Cathedral and Alcázar. The front desk staff spoke excellent English and were most cordial and accommodating. I can strongly recommend this hotel.

Our stay at this hotel was pleasant enough, until we were about to pay our bill. The girl at reception tried to charge us the standard price, rather than the price we had booked online. In the end we were charged the online price, however we were charged in Pounds Sterling, not Euros (even though our bill was presented in Euros and I had booked in Euros). When we pointed this out, she said that it was ok, and we would be charged in Euros. According to her, the amount was shown in Pounds on our receipt "for our convenience". We didn't believe this at the time and when I checked with my bank they verified the amount was charged in Pounds. I am now disputing the payment with my bank to get this corrected, but it is annoying that this wasn't done correctly at the time.
