We stayed in a superior room on the top floor for 3 nights in November. The location of the hotel is very convenient for sightseeing and we didn't hear much noise. The staff was accommodating and polite.
Our room, however, was a complete disappointment. It was small with a stale smell, the furniture appeared cheap and worn, with stains on the upholstery, the bathroom was tiny and in need of renovation. Even the nice terrace overlooking the Giralda that we had wasn't enough to make up for the total lack of comfort.
We didn't ask for a different room, as we had a busy sightseeing program and were spending very little time in the hotel.
In a 3 week trip around Spain, this was by far the most overpriced room we had. Perhaps the standard rooms are a better value.
