Great location, close enough to walk to the main attractions including the Cathedral, Giralda, Alcazares Reales, Plaza Espana as well as the main shopping street. Also there are many fine restaurants within walking distance. The hotel is in a narrow street which was hard to find even with an up to date satnav which took us to the no entry end of a one way street, add to this roads blocked off by workers and poorly parked cars.
Nevertheless once found the Hotel reception staff were great, they assisted us to the car elevator which you need to get to the underground parking of the hotel-approx Eur 22 per day with taxes.
The hotel's central courtyard is bright and welcoming. The free coffee machine here was broken down throughout our stay but we could have coffee from the machine in the restaurant.
The hotel room was a good size but the glass doors for the en-suite facilities were a definite negative. The glasswork looks nice and modern but it gives a feeling of lack of privacy. there is no sound proofing and anyone using the bathroom in the middle of the night will disturb others since the bathroom light also illuminates the bedroom. So the glass partitioned bathrooms are impractical but modern looking
The beds were a nice size but the mattresses were quite firm, some may like this but I did not find the mattress comfortable. Also the pillows were tired and lacked body or substance, perhaps ready for renewal. In room coffee making facilities would also have been a nice touch because coffee from the restaurant was only available in flimsy plastic cups and were awkward to bring to the bedroom. Also the hydro shower fittings were loose and the shower head kept falling off, I placed it on the floor in the hope that the house keeping staff would notice but they simplyy put it back on loosely so it fell off promptly when I used the shower again.
On the plus side, apart from the great location, there was free wired and wi-fi internet in the bedrooms. A Dell laptop was provided which was really handy to check e-mails and to plan out the day. The reception staff were also very polite and friendly.
I would recommend this hotel for its location but the main drawback for me would be the lack of privacy due to the glass bathroom. However this feature is not uncommon in some European countries and may not necessarily bother others particularly. Also for the great location, the hotel prices were quite reasonable.
By the way, the hotel is in a narrow street, although this is not a negative at all, given the great location of this hotel. The street is certainly passable by car and all the streets in this part of Seville were quite narrow anyway.
