Let us face it; Hotels in Seville Spain are very expensive especially at Semana Santa. Unless you want to spend the big bucks for a city center apartment or hotel rental, you will be looking for alternatives.
Hotel Isla Cartuja is a close alternative. The worst part of the experience is finding the entrance. The complex is seedy looking and poorly maintained on the exterior. The hotel takes up a very small part of the property and we spent an hour trying to find out how to get to the gate that contains the hotel. They really could provide better signage.
The hotel is clean, efficient, and small. You really need a car to get to the city center. There is a public bus but you have to walk through a seedy deserted area with teenagers and skateboarders partying at all hours. Once on the bus you have to make sure you know exactly what stop to get off at for the city center because the bus drivers are not helpful.
If I were to visit Seville, again I would pay the money to stay in the city center. If you want a clean small room and a transportation nightmare stay at Eurostars Isa Cartuja.
