“Very hard to find hotel”

We picked this hotel based on the location on the map on the Kayak site, price and free parking. The hotel is far away from what was shown on Kayak's map. It is across the river to the north-west in the Olympic village which is really deserted. We used Google map on my iPad to navigate to the hotel and the road leading to the hotel does not exist. We circled for over a hour and despite help from several people plus talking to the front desk at the hotel by phone, we still could not find the hotel. The area looked super deserted and lots of weed fields. Finally we stopped into the Police station nearby and got the proper directions. The building the hotel is in is actually the football stadium (Estadio Olimpico de Sevilla). That is why we kept driving around and saw nothing that looks like a hotel. It is hidden behind a deserted parking lot which is under highway SE-30 that is growing a lot of weeds. To reach it, you drive North along Ave Carlos III and take the SE-30 East exit, half way into the exit ramp, bear right on the Y and then take a left under the highway into a large deserted parking lot that is growing a lot of weeds. Go past the big iron gates and the hotel will then show up to the right of the stadium structure. The girl at the front desk kept apologizing for not able to help us.
The rooms are large and clean although the bathroom is very basic. Beds are very stiff. Breakfast is pretty good for 8 euros and overlooks the entire stadium. I would never have picked this place if the map on Kayak was correct.

“Stay away!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 May 2010

Almost everything that you are not expecting from a 4 stars hotel happened.
We travelled in a party of 4 families that had booked this hotel over the internet.
Upon arrival, the concierge informed one of the families that the room that they have booked, with 3 beds, was no longer available. When asked to solve the problem, he said that the hotel had only available rooms with 2 beds. No spare beds were existing (later in the day, we found 7 spare beds in a storeroom in our floor). According to the concierge, the family choice was to take the 2 beds room, or to find another hotel. That was our problem, not his.
After this nasty incident, my family got a room with an intense smell of cigarette smoke, linens included. The only solution was to spray the room atmosphere with an ambience air spray. Of course that smell stayed in the sheets.
On the following day, when we got in, an entire wall of the bedroom was subjugated with ants. We were moved to another room with almost half the area of the previous. On the morning the bathroom pipes broke loose. We were back to the “ants room”.
If you are traveling to Seville or to the Isla Magica, do allow a safe zone between yourself and Eurostars Isla Caruja. It will ruin your trip.

“Terrible hotel with lovely service”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 October 2009

We were bumped by sister hotel to this location. Had no map, no address. GPS didn't work as the hotel is attached to football stadium (that is in need of repair). In the middle of nowhere (vast parking lots and highways, couldn't walk to anything). Taxis cost 7-10 Euros to get to city centre. All night parties with electronic music in parking lot and underpass - unable to sleep. Asked front desk to call police but refused. Rooms are tired (need new paint, new furniture). Bathrooms are gloomy and have cheap fixtures, tiles. Rooms facing stadium are dark and dreary. Windows dirty (including interior windows) and would not lock - accessible by ledge from other rooms. Hotel meals were overpriced and not good so don't eat in the cafeteria except if breakfast is included in room rate (excellent breakfast). Would not recommend this hotel for any reason except that it was basically clean and for emergency only. But, service was excellent and manager was very professional.

“Dreadful location, stay anywhere else but here”

It took us 2 hrs to find this place. As another TA said, it is situated in the olympic stadium which looks as if it hasnt been used since whenever they had the last olympics. Our gps didnt recognise the address - not surprisingly because it looks like it was abandonned after nuclear warfare. There were crowds of people in cars under the highway bridge playing loud music and climbing up under the bridge.
The hotel looked clean enough inside and the room was spacious although the beds were like rocks. There was no courtesy coach; no tourist information and we never found the restaurant open at any time that we required it even though they advertise 24 hr service. The only good thing about this hotel was the english speaking receptionist as our spanish is non existent. We spent 6 weeks in Europe using apartments mainly and Ibis hotels; This was the only non Ibis hotel Find anywhere else in Seville;

“Absolutely would not recommend this hotel to anyone...”

TripAdvisor has rarely let me down from hostels to hotels, so I decided to check out the reviews for some hotels after pulling into Sevilla. Seeing as this hotel had a great price of €55 a night, we decided to stay there. After driving around the outskirts of Sevilla - in possibly the only area of Sevilla that you can find that looks uninhabited and unkempt - we finally closed in on Isla Cartuja. The surrounding area can only be described as similar to that of Chernobyl. There were huge buildings and parking lots, but no cars. There wasn't a single person in the street. After driving around for a half an hour, we joked that the hotel was in the Olympic Stadium...and then realized it was. After driving through the overgrown jungle/parking lot, we finally checked-in. After telling the man at the desk we had a reservation, he told us we in fact did not, as if we were lying. Believe me, we would have been out of there if we had not already paid online. We went up to the rooms and they were large and clean, although the beds were awful.

At night when we were ready to go out, we asked the reception to call a taxi since obviously there are no taxis anywhere near the hotel. He was very rude and asked us for our room number...as if we somehow snuck into the hotel so we could swindle a free call for a taxi out of him. The taxi arrived and the meter was already €6...apparently they start the meter from wherever they are. There were also cars randomly parked throughout the lot with people doing drugs. We quickly realized that we could have spent the extra €20 on a hotel in the heart of Sevilla and not had to deal with any of this.

Overall, a terrible experience. Look somewhere else.
