This was a truly happening place. Many locals came here to eat and hang out. A wonderful experience to see, feel, and hear the beat of the people of Seville. We stayed at the junior suite with a sloping ceiling. The room was tastefully decorated and the bathroom was spacious.
Breakfast was included and it was delightful. Many different flavors of butters to experiment with! The service was satisfactory and the waiters were pleasant.
On the ground floor cafe, make sure you try the different tapas. It doesn't matter what you order, you can't go wrong. If still on the menu, try the Pimientos del Piquillo Rellenos de Cola de Toro (bull's tail in peppers). Delicious!!
The hotel is centrally located. You can walk to the plasa nueva for shopping (the Loewes were on sale). It was really hot above 40 degrees Celsius when we were there, so, like any other Spaniards, the siesta was the thing to do during the heat of the day.

We had a wonderful night at this hotel which has kept many original features ensuring lots of character and Sevillan atmosphere. In a central location a lively part of the city centre. Our Cordoba room was special and individually furnished. We enjoyed the personal jacuzzi after all the sight seeing! The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Dinner was a true experience, breakfast delicious and totally original_ all "home" produced butters and preserves! Superb coffee!

We just had a wonderful New Years Eve and New years day at this charming hotel in Seville. I almost cancelled my reservation after reading some of your reviews, but we are delighted that we stuck with it. We booked three rooms for our family and since the hotel only has seven rooms, we practically had the place to ourselves. The double rooms were charming and immaculate, with big windows, high ceilings, and nice baths. We had one junior suite, which, since it was situated on the back of the building under a sloping roof, was different from the front rooms, but nevertheless, fine. The roof top patio is reserved for hotel guests and has lovely views of the cathedral, sunsets, and, in our case, new years eve fireworks all over the city. We were delighted with the special new years eve dinner, a multi course tasting menu with local wines and foods, served exquisitely by costumed servers. Although the restaurant was filled with locals with advance reservations, they found a lovely private spot in a tiled nook for our family. Breakfasts were very pleasant in the courtyard. The public spaces are gracious and spacious. Since the restaurant was closed on new year's day, we had the feeling of having a private mansion at our exclusive disposal in the heart of the old city. Since there were some negative comments about the staff in some of your earlier posts, I would also say that the staff were professional and pleasant.

Four of us travelled to Seville on 28th April and decided to treat ourselves to a nice restaurant for the first night. After checking Google and Tripadvisor we decided to book Taberna Del Alabardero. We were very disappointed to say the least. The restaurant was beautiful but unfortunately the food did not live up to the setting.
We returned one dish as the fish was not cooked through, but by the time it was returned (which took longer than it should have) the rest of the party had finished their main courses and the person concerned no longer wanted his dish as while he was waiting he had some of the other main courses. Two of the other main courses were barley warm and the fourth main course was cold in spots, we were also not happy with one of the starters. At that stage we asked for the bill as we weren't prepared to spend any more money in the establishment (we were charged E8 for four pre cooked Cuisine De France bread rolls). No one came near us to apologise or offer coffee/a drink in recompense, we were very pleasant to the staff the whole time and did not kick up, but maybe we should have, if we'd been spanish maybe we would have got better service. We paid E217.91 (weren't charged for the returned dish). I would not recommend this restaurant. It was very overpriced for the standard of food served. I sent an email to the restaurant when I came back advising them we were not happy with our visit. They never responded, which really says it all. We had a lovely meal in Casa Robles the next night and paid half the price.
