“Nice hotel with a passed due date?”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 May 2012

Location is good, less than 10 m of walking to old city. Overall impression was that some things looked a bit worn and room cleaning was not top. But I'm being a little picky since it still was ok+.. Didn't have any breakfast..

“Nice hotel within 20 minute walking distance to old city.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 May 2012

My daughter and I stayed for 3 nights in late May.It was a 25 euro cab ride from the airport. We found a good little grocery store just a block or so down the street where we could buy soft drinks and snacks. Breakfast was not included in our stay. There isn't much of interest in the immediate area except the Plaza D'Espagna across the street, which was pretty to look at. We found the room quite modern in decor, and fairly masculine. The air conditioning didn't work very well, so we had trouble sleeping because we were so hot at night. The staff were very nice, and helpful, and spoke pretty good English. We had a stocked minibar.
Room service will bring you ice if you request it, and it came quite quickly. The pool is nice, but they could use more umbrellas, as people get pretty aggressive trying to find shade in the hot sun. The poolside bar sells beer for the same price as a bottle of water (2 euro), but you can get a glass of ice water for free if you ask. There are three computers in the lobby with free service, and we could usually get on without a wait. There is no free wifi in the rooms.
The bathtub was not super clean, but passable.

Room Tip: We could hear the chirping sound from the pedestrian crosswalk signal throughout the night. We were...

“Great Breakfast”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 May 2012

One of the best breakfast buffets we have ever had. We stayed on the concierge level and the room was very large, the bathroom was great. No carpet which we find a plus. Access to the lounge with computers, snacks and drinks was very ni e. Great location only 15 minutes by foot to the Old Town and a very nice walk past the university and plenty of outdoor cafes. Only negative was the carpet near the eleavtor on our floor was musty smelling.

“Excellent location - very classy hotel!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 April 2012

The hotel looks amazing - modern, spacious. The rooms are also fantastic - spacious and with all necessary amenities. The location of the hotel is also very convenient. It is a 15 minute leisurely walk from the historic center. It is also less than 5 minutes away from Piazza d'Espana - a must see!! Unfortunately our stay was very short and we missed using the hotel's spa which is said to be quite nice.

Due to the location of the hotel (and the fact that it is a 4 star hotel), the rate per room was rather pricey!

The only negative comment I have about the hotel is that few of the staff including receptionists speak English. However, despite the barrier language at times, they were more than happy to assist us. Note however that this is not purely restricted to the hotel - most Spanish seem not to understand or speak English!

“Smart hotel, convenient location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 April 2012

We stayed here for three nights on a trip around Andalucia.
On arrival the staff were really friendly and helpful. They gave us a map of the city and pointed out the main sights. As we wanted a no smoking room they upgraded us to a view room, which was a nice bonus. The hotel has a smart, modern, business feel to it and is very striking when you walk in.
The room was a pretty good size with access to a balcony (we were on the 9th floor so the views were good). The bathroom was really well equipped, with double sinks and both a shower over the bath and a separate walk-in shower, all sectioned off from each other by glass doors.
We didn't have breakfast as were were on a room only basis, but on check-in they said that if we signed up for their members' club we'd get 50% off breakfast and free wifi, as well as other discounts. We didn't bother but if you stay in their hotels regularly it sounds like a good deal.
We didn't eat in the restaurant either but we did have a drink in the bar one night, which has lots of comfy seating and a good atmosphere once there are a few people in there.
The hotel is in a good location about a 15 minute walk from the cathedral. We walked everywhere as the tourist sights are all fairly close together.
There were a couple of slight negatives about this hotel (although neither of them were a big deal). One was the lifts – they were really slow to arrive once you called them (would normally take the stairs, but not from the ninth floor!!) and they were quite rickety. This was also the same for the lifts to the car park, which are separate. The other was the lack of drink-making facilities in the room, but we found that throughout the rest of the trip so we assumed it was always the case in Spain, although a bit unusual for a hotel of this standard in my experience. The underground parking was also quite expensive.
That said, these are small points and didn't affect our view of this hotel. At around £80 a room it was good value given the location and the standard of accommodation. I would certainly recommend it for a short break in Seville.
