My overall experience at Fernando III was very good.

Likes: Great location within walking distance of the big attractions
Good service at front desk and by maids
Clean
Free Wifi

Dislikes: Bed/pillow were very uncomfortable even by European standards
Thin walls between rooms (listened to our neighbors yell at each other in Spanish a few nights)
There was a locked gate so we could not get out onto our balcony in our room

Good things first: Perfect location, nice and clean rooms/bathrooms and a terrace with a pool at the roof. But why do the men (we saw only men) at the reception seem to make a point of treating the guests as if they were air? We never experienced anything like it anywere. However, friendliness were taken care of by the cleaners and the guy who fixed our safe. Our rooms were quiet concerning noise from the outside. The price was a view directly into a wall. If we wanted to check the weather, we had to open the window and bend our necks to see the sky. Doors are of poor quality, so we could hear absolutely everything going on in the hall. There are lots of good hotels in the area, so we'll pick another one next time.

This is an excellent hotel. Its greatest asset is probably the wonderful location, with lots of lovely bars and restaurants on the doorstep. The rooftop pool is a real bonus, especially at this time of year, and we had it to ourselves for a couple of hours on a Saturday morning. At the discounted rates of approximately €70 per room per night it represents good value. The rooms are clean, beds comfy and although the aircon isn't great, we found it to be sufficient. We stayed there twice while travelling Spain and I should add we found the aircon was better (in room 208) and more effective than in our previous room, 220. My only minor gripe would be the cots provided (in both rooms) were both somewhat rickety and very easy for my 18 month old son to climb out of. The Spanish can't help being so little though, huh? Major thumbs up from us.

Great location for exploring Sevilla. I think it was a bit overpriced compared to the other hotels I stayed at in Spain, but not by a huge margin. (wouldn't call this a 4 star hotel) Rooms are generic. Didn't use the pool, so maybe that would justify the higher price. Overall a good experience.
