Seville is quite an expensive city for accommodation, so if you are travelling on a budget don't let some of the negative reviews put you off.
The hotel is 15/20 min walk from either of the two coach stations (the railway station is out of town and you'll need to catch a bus / taxi). Likewise the historical centre (Cathedral / Alcazar) is again 15/20 mins walk. There are restaurants close by (less than 5 mins walk) overlooking the river and city skyline. And a reasonably well stocked supermarket with in store bakery opposite the hotel open 9am - 9pm Monday to Saturday for breakfast & picnic lunch ingredients.
I was on the first floor, and yes, as mentioned in an earlier review there were bars on the windows, but overlooking a flat roof security has to come before ascetics. It IS budget accommodation, so if you don't expect much more than a bed and bathroom you won't be disappointed. Rooms can vary, and I can only describe room 137, which was spotlessly clean. The main drawback was the beds which were only 6ft long (not the standard 6ft 6) but they could be dragged from the wall to create a bit more length.
It had a microwave but the power lead was too short to reach the socket, there was crockery but no cutlery, there was a electric stove but the only cooking utensil was a frying pan, there was a fridge but no kettle. All minor irritants. The room had air conditioning which worked well, and a small tv but no English language channels.
