We chose this hotel because it was handy for the airport as we were arriving late before travelling north - and it was pretty cheap. For a one night stay it was OK, but the location would be hopeless if you wanted to visit Seville properly. Clean, small room with good air conditioning (and huge TV!) but spacious bathroom. Parking was available and breakfast was good. The lift only goes to the 5th floor. If you can't face lugging your baggage up to the top floor (6th), then mention it when booking. Check its location on the hotel's own website. We booked via Expedia and it shows up in the wrong location on the Multimap link they offer.

I reserved a room at the Catalonia Hispalis Hotel online via Expedia while traveling in Southern Spain. I wanted a hotel close to the airport for an easy morning drive to the airport. The location was good, but nearly everything else was poor. The outside of the hotel looked very bleak. We almost couldn't believe this was a 3.5 star hotel. The initial interior looked nicer, but the rooms were dark and dingy.

We got our room, a single room with two twin beds. It was a smoking room and smoking floor. I usually can deal with this, but I went into immediate coughing fits and had watering eyes. I went back to the front desk and did my best in Spanish/English to ask for a non-smoking room. They moved me to the 2nd floor which also was a smoking room, but the room didn't reek of smoke and we did okay.

The last fiasco was with the billing. Expedia says it charges a deposit, but the hotel said it didn't have a deposit and charged me a full night's rate. I expect to be requesting a refund once I see my visa bill.

We stayed in many hotels in the area for less money and nicer accomodations. Skip this hotel and stay someplace else.
