The Posada del Castano is an artistically refurbished old Andalusian village style house, yet with all the modern facilities you would be looking for. Breakfast is continental, with fresh fruit, fruit juices, cereal, cheese and ham, tasty bread, home-made Seville marmalade and freshly-brewed coffee or tea. The area and the village are superb, with lots of real character and great, shaded walking along along the old cobbled mule tracks between villages with some of the most breathtaking scenery and picturesque villages (with refreshments!) within easy walking distance. There is an absolutely first class restaurant in the village of Castano del Robledo itself, a couple of minutes walk from the Posada. If you want to visit the big city, Seville is only an hour and a bit away by road. In a week, we only scratched the surface of what this area has to offer! We really hope to be back!
