Massive room, fantastic views and the hotel itself was very clean. The hotel is literally a five minute drive to La Alhambra in Grenada.

Marked down as the staff were not overly helpful, although that could be because of the language barrier. The hotel was at the top of a steep hill, which was not a problem for us but maybe for others.

We stayed in this hotel on 16th and 17th September and found it very good value for money.
The sign on the hotel is very small so we drove past it and drove round a bit before finding where to go. It is a dark pink building on the RHS going up the hill.
We were glad we had a room facing the garden as the view over the Sierra Nevada was wonderful.
Our room had twin beds but was extremely spacious. It was a little bit tatty. The handle came off the floor length window. This did not bother us and found it all very comfortable.
We used the pool 3 times during our stay and enjoyed this facility.
The buffet breakfast was quite adequate and there was plenty of choice of coffee from the machine. This broke down the second morning but was dealt with quickly. I noticed a review just before writing this that mentioned the evening meal. I'm glad we did not try to eat in the hotel as we were not aware meals had to be ordered in advance. Nowhere was this obvious. I had wondered how they were able to offer such choice when no one seemed to be using the restaurant when we were there.
We found the staff helpful and able to speak English.
The beds were very comfortable but we were disturbed by barking dogs so ear plugs could be useful/
We visited the Alhambra before we arrived and on our second day visited 3 villages in the Poquera Valley, Boubion. Capileira and Pampaneira. We had an excellent meal of the day in Pampaneira at Alfonso's. This was a most enjoyable day out from this hotel.
I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who wants good value and nice views

This hotel was just outside of Granada (10 min taxi ride) and hosted stunning views of the mountains and hills of Southern Spain. The rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable (we stayed in the suite with the canopy bed) and the pool was always cool and refreshing.

We did not speak a lot of Spanish and had a hard time communicating with the hotel staff (there was usually one person working the hotel during the day who spoke better English and another at night, who spoke only Spanish). We definitely made due and were aware that this would happen when traveling with little Spanish under our belt, but we thought that it would have been important to hire multi-lingual staff if your website is also in English. But maybe that's just our own Anglo-privilege coming through.

The food at the hotel is okay. I would suggest just skipping the dinner at the hotel and going into Granada for your meals.

Also, our safe didn't work in our room, so we had to leave our passports in the main hotel's safe when we left the building...we were a little weary of it, but it worked.

We were definitely happy with our stay and would reccomend this place for people looking for something a little different in Granada with more of a homey b&b feel to it.

My wife and I were guests at the Cerro del Sol Hotel on the nights of June 22 & 23, 2011 (Room Cascais) and we definitely had a wonderful 2 night stay.

We went around Spain by car and found this to be one of the best hotels we stayed in during our trip, particularly keeping in mind the low price we paid.

Room was clean (and i mean clean) and nicely decorated. People at the Reception friendly and helpful. Location is good since it is just 5 minutes away from the Alhambra (by car). There is free parking and free wifi.

The hotel is not in the city centre but the view is amazing. I recommend you have dinner at the hotel or at least a drink in the terrace and enjoy the sunset.

Only thing to remember when making the booking is that you should really ask for rooms facing the garden since the view is much better.
