The Hotel Alhamar was included in our tour itinerary. While the visit to Granada is spectacular, this hotel was probably the worst of our included properties. The room was pleasant with a nice sized plasma television, and there is a supermarket and currency exchange across the street. However, small maintenance issues should be addressed. Air-conditioning was anemic and only a little better after servicing, the hair dryer didn't work , with exposed wires, and mini bar hardly cooling contents. Another annoying waste of time was a E15.00 deposit to obtain a key for room safe deposit, with an actual cost of E2.00 upon return of key upon check-out. You can probably find a better hotel than this in Granada at a similar rate.

Stayed here for 1 night part of Trafalgar tour of Spain, hotel location little bit far form city centre, breakfast and dinner was okay.
Room was clean and first time was able to sleep without noise!

GREAT HOTEL, EXCELLENT STAFF. AMAZING LOCATION...
we stayed in granada for 2 nites.. the hotel was a lil far from the airport .. but there is a bus that drops you to the nearest bus stop .. from there u can walk or take a cab to this hotel.
i simply loved teh place rooms were clean.. staff was v v helpful..
the internet connection was also great...

We stayed here for 3 nights in january with our 1 year old and 9 year old. We had a huge triple room with a cot in, spotlessly clean throughout. The breakfast was fantastic, the staff really friendly, helpful (and tolerant of the kids, they gave us free milk for the little one all day.)
We drove down from Alicante which took about 3 1/2 hours, dead easy, and found the hotel with no problems, it was very well signposted. Parking cost 12€ / day which was well worth it. It was about a 15min walk into the centre, there were loads of restaurants and bars around, also about a 15 min walk to the science museum, bi-lingual, fantastic for the kids. We drove to the Alhambra one day, and the following day drove to the Sierra Nevada so the kids could see snow. Everywhere is easy to find.

In short I loved Granada and I loved the Alhamar hotel. Would recommend it to anyone.
