On arrival, we were surprised to discover that the hotel has a ground floor reception, but the rooms are on floors 11 to 15 of an aprtment block. Not a problem for most people admittedly, but for someone with a phobia of lifts not great to find room is on 13th floor! {I had emailed in advance to ensure a room on a low floor, for this very reason, but received bo response].
Thankfully, we twere soon relocated to the wheelchair access room on the ground floor. Unfortunately, the room was outdated with peeling paint on ceiling and dirty furniture. There was no natural light other than a tiny, filthy eyelevel window with bars. There was no safe and the minibar was practically empty. More worryingly, access to bath/shower would have been impossible for a wheelchair user....
Things got worse when we realised there was a nightclub above our room, which went on until 7am on both nights we stayed!
In addition, the coffee in the bar was terrible...unforgiveable in a counttry reknowned for fabulous coffee!
