Like other reviewers said, there're many good things about the hotel: location near transportation to Albaicin and Alhambra, walking distance to many good tapa bars and other attractions; helpful and friendly staff, a small eating room, a grocery store just outside (where you can buy cured jambon, sweet caquis, water, etc). However, the bathroom had a foul smell, like sweage, that was horrible. After they clean it it doesn't smell much but as soon as you start using it (flushing or taking a shower) the smell comes up and it's horrible. I felt similar smell, but not as strong, in all the 3 towns we visited in Andaluzia and always in old neighborhoods so it may be something external to the hotel. However I stayed in other hotels that kept this smell much more under control. We had to open the door of our room and the windows (even it was ~40F outside) to have some air flow and cover the face when sleeping. Every time we had to go to the bathroom, we'll open the shower and flush the toilet with the hope it would wash that smell away. It was a big bummer in our stay.
Another anoying thing was that it didn't have a dryer. You have to borrow one from the front desk. The one I got was kept together with duck tape (!!!).
