You can’t beat the location, in the heart of the old town of tiny twisty streets on the Albaicin hill – we even had a view of the Alhambra from our window. The rooms are beautiful and spacious, the bathrooms are modern, and all set around an attractive courtyard. The only reservation I have is about the owner, and only really with his manner and communication. He does everything he can to help, recommends restaurants, helps with directions and bookings, etc. It’s just that his manner makes it feel like you are going to see a rather fierce headmaster, who likes everything to be correctly regimented and sometimes barks a refusal to an out-of-place request (like to use an iron – the words he was saying were a perfectly polite refulsal, it’s just the way they were said). Also watch out that he runs the establishment single-handed, so if he happens to be out there’s no ‘front desk’ you can go to for help or to order drinks or to check out, etc.
