“Great service, great value!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 November 2011

I really enjoyed my stay here, and wish I had stayed longer - Granada alone is terrific, but this hotel was so accomodating. It was about 10 to 12 minutes walk to the main city, and the bus to Alhambra was right around the corner. The hotel had a nice pool area, with a bar just inside. Everyone was pleasant and willing to help. My room was terrific, nice large bed, which as a single travel I appreciated.Often they want to put you in a corner in a dinky bed.

Room Tip: I faced the street, and had a wonderful sunrise and sunset view! excellent in Granada

“Comfortable and Adequate”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 October 2011

We had only a overnight here so we didn't have time to partake of a lot of their facilities. we can't really judge the location since we didn't have the opportunity to look around outside the hotel. We also didn't see the pool area. our bedroom was fairly large, with clean bedding and good furniture. There were no extras but the basics served our needs for an overnight. The restaurant was nice and we loved the location on the top floor. The food was very good and service was adequate. We had to buy drinks though including water. I do feel that some sort of drinks should be included with a buffet meal. The buffet breakfast had a good assortment but the bacon was barely cooked. They did have a lot of pastries though. Overall not a four star but comfortable and adequate.

if you are going to granada then stay here.its a good hotel.ten min walk gets you in the city streets.you can walk from the rear of the hotel up hill to the alhambra in about thirty mins. there are a few bars nearby.las titas being the best.we had the best tapas in a bar in the albacin district on the hill opposite the alhambra i recommend the vistas.would say though it was a bit to hot for a city break in august . fine for a beach hol though. a lot of walking to do.and if you dont know any spanish you are going to struggle . english is a bit rare for some locals. about the hotel .nice charm to it .decor etc quite amix of styles old and nearly old.a decent size room comfy enough bed .air con unable to cope.no fridge.fab view.not much storage again! fab breakfast room loads of choice.dont bother with the lifts walk the stairways for the charm of the hotel.nice bar area.nice staff very polite.lovely pool area.a good place to stay for a wk end.enjoy.

Room Tip: top floors faceing front you can see the whole of granada nearly

“Great location, great facilities and easy walking to town”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 August 2011

This hotel is a great low budget hotel that is clean, friendly and has a great pool and facilities. The rooms are far from being modern and lack big comforts but they are clean.
The pool area is clean and there is plenty of space around to sit and enjoy sun and shade. If you have young children, take care as the pool is about 3 metres deep at one end (there is a shallower end and a paddle pool for toddlers).
We didn't use the restaurant - it's quite pricey but then you are in Granada and only 10-15 minutes walk from the centre of town so why eat in the hotel?? There are plentiful places to eat in town from tapas bars and restaurants to the Arab influenced kebab shops (all are delicious by the way).
A previous comment was made about how far the hotel is from the Alhambra. Frankly, there is no easy walk to the Alhambra so if you are not up to the walk - take the bus service from Plaza de la Nueva and you'll be fine. Personally, we enjoyed the walks up the hill through the green avenue of trees, even if it is quite a trek in the heat and it makes your legs hurt - the resulting view and arrival of the Alhambra is quite something.
Advice for the Alhambra - book your tickets in advance if you want to visit the palaces inside (you can walk around inside without tickets but won't get into buildings which is the whole point of being there). If you can't book in advance, get there by 8am in the morning - if you're lucky you can book for that morning or at the worst you will get in for the afternoon but use the credit card machines - it's quicker than standing in the kiosk queue.
Granada still maintains a lot of it's old charms and there are many hidden places to explore down the various alleys. If you want to go to Flamenco - beware of places that will lure you in and then try and take all the money you have on you - it's better to find where locals go rather than the "performing Flamenco" for the tourists.

Room Tip: Book in advance on pre-paid non-refundable rates

“Splendid and within walking distance of the Alhambra.”

The Hotel Los Angeles is well located and within walking distance of both the city centre and the wonderful Alhambra palace. We had a spacious and comfortable room with balcony having a view to the snow capped Sierra Nevada mountains. The general ambience is excellent and the staff were friendly and helpful.
