“Budget priced but not budget quality”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 October 2011

The hotel Rallye is located on the periphary of the 'tourist' area of Granada. Next door is a supermarket, 5 mins walk away is the most beautiful park, complete with duck pond, tree - lined walks and summer seats, in Granada. The tourist heart of Granada (incl the cathedral) is 15 mins walk - many bars and restaurants in between. The Alhambra is a bus ride or a 40 min walk - we took the walk.
The hotel is not touristy - there is no 24 hr bar (actually no bar) no cafe or no restaurant or no English tv channels. Staff are mostly Spanish speaking.
The hotel is perfect for sleeping - clean rooms and good breakfasts and reasonable prices.
The parking works well, the garage adjoins the hotel and is accessed by the street to the right side of the hotel.
The walk from the centro to the hotel is not scary - be aware of the ongoing roadworks on the Ronda.
The Rallye has full marks on cleaniless, breakfasts, staff and ' feel about it', if I were the owner I would also look for U.S., English and Irish clients

Room Tip: There are no 'views' from the rooms - so do'nt look for them.

“Good Budget hotel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 February 2010

Well located on the main Gran Via road through the town. near shops, restaurants etc. It was chosen by our travel agent as a reasonably comfortable hotel without being too expensive and it was spot on and very clean! Breakfast was good.

Our only problem was finding it in the first place as we were driving and we seemed to hit the town at a busy time.

“Won't be back”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 July 2009

The hotel itself is not bad on a first looking. But the carpet is greasy, the room just fine, the furniture needed renovating and so did the bathroom. For the low price we paid through booking.com, well that was ok. But the hotel is way too far from the city center, 20 minute walk can be a nightmare when temperature is 45 degrees at 6pm. The neighbourhood is really scary at night. Breakfast was included and that was good because there are no decent bars next door

“Basic...but only if the airconditioner is working!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 June 2009

Could have been a standard hotel in Granada but has been a nightnare. Airconditioning not working, bar fridge in the room not working and 40 degrees outside (and now inside). Staff were apologetic and totally unhelpful. I have known other hotels to close and send their guests to other hotels in the area if their aircons break down. Besides that, the rooms are small, reasonably clean but certainly not worth the money.
