I was there for one night and had a good sleep after a day of sightseeing and travelling from Cordoba. The room was clean and had all adequate amenities. There is a department store and a supermarket right across the street. I picked up water and snacks in the supermarket for a reasonable price. The hotel is in a commercial area. I did not have time to explore the neighbourhood as I had plans for dinner in the downtown area. Overall, I was pleased with this hotel and would go back if I have a chance to come back to Granada. La Alhambra is magnificient!

I spent one night in the Gran Hotel Luna de Granada, which I booked through bookings.com. The hotel provided parking for a fee; there was no internet capabilities in the rooms but it was available free in the lobby and bar. The rooms were clean and of average size; unfortunately, the air conditioning system did not cool down the rooms to my satisfaction. The breakfast buffet provided variety but most of the fruits were canned rather than fresh. The staff was friendly. Based upon my observations, this hotel is used by tour groups, as large tour buses were frequently present and occasionally blocked egress from the parking area. The hotel is located just a block and a half from a pick up point for the city tour red buses, which was a plus. This hotel was OK, but I suspect if I returned to Granada again I would try to book a better one.

We stayed in this hotel for one night only and even though it was conveniently located, the sleep quality was really bad.

We were driving by car and upon arrival we found that there is a charge for the hotel parking (maximum of 15 euros per day). The hotel is right off the highway but the insulation is great, you won't hear a noise.

The front desk staff were very nice and accommodated us in two adjacent rooms (double and triple). Check-in process was a bit slow.

Our room was stinking of cigarette smoke. Worse smell ever! Unfortunately, there were no rooms for us to change, so we had to stay in there. The cleaning lady came and sprayed some odour masking product but within a couple of hours the stinky smell was invading us again. And it became even worse when we turned the shower on!

The other problem we had was that at 6 in the morning some large group in the room next to us started yelling (literally) and banging the walls and the doors. It was absolutely ridiculous. Upon calling reception, the security personnel told them to keep it quiet, but the situation didn't improve and they kept us awake for about 1 hour. Horrible experience in this sense!

On the bright side, the rooms are spacious and well equipped, the hotel is very nice inside and the front desk staff are very nice. If only we had had a non-stinky room and that ridiculous group next to our room!

Because of the lack of sleep and the fact that the smell in the room was absolutely horrible, I wouldn't recommend the hotel. I'm sure if we had slept well it would have been a completely different story.

I stayed here for one night and loved it. The hotel was quiet, the staff were friendly, he restaurant served good food. The location was a bit out of the way, but a 5 EUR taxi ride would get you to the area where the Cathedral is located.

I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to Granada.
