“Good location, average place to stay”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 December 2011

Located right in the middle of all the places you want to see. Hard to find by car, as this area is restricted to traffic.

Hotel has own garage, but you need to contact reception first = valet parking.

Hotel inside is very nice and has a rather cozy atmosphere, as it is not as big as other places. Decoration and color mediteranian, the rooms are rather modern (dark wooden colors). Beware if they promise, that your room has Alhambra View. Yes it does, if you lean dangerously far out of your window ...

Breakfast is spanish and average, dont expect too much. Seating is rather dark, no outside seating possible. I would recommend to skip and just seat yourself in one of the numerous cafes on the nearby Plaza Nueva. Here you can enjoy the morning sun and get a better start of the day.

Checkin formalities take much too long, how much do they have to write, that one has to wait almost 10 Minutes?

Rooms are clean and beds are very comfortable.

Not state of the art: Free wireless LAN only in the lobby, with a limited access number is a little outdated, if NH claims to be a business oriented hotel.

Room Tip: Top floor of the hotel is not serviced by elevator, rather narrow stairway for the last climb. Not r...

“Good Bargain Hotel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 December 2011

This hotel was a pretty good bargain for what we paid. It has a really good location, and is within walking distance of almost everything. Parking is available, which is great since this city has extremely limited parking options. The rooms are small but clean. It is nothing flashy but gets the job done. Free wi-fi Internet is also available, but you must be seated in the lobby to use it.

“Good choice in great location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 November 2011

We were quite pleased with this hotel, which is just a block from the cathedral and a few blocks from Plaza Nueva. It's just off two major streets, and the tiny streets around the hotel are packed with restaurants, bars and shops. All the buses we needed were extremely close. The staff was polite, very helpful and spoke English well. If you're driving in, be sure to get directions emailed to you; they are not in great English but they got us there perfectly. Once you turn into little Calle Meriem, an alley, really, the hotel is just a few feet ahead of you, and the parking garage is on the corner on the right. We pulled over, and they parked for us, which we appreciated. The buffet breakfast is not included and costs something like 9 euros, but we were pleasantly surprised at the variety: tons of fruits and breads and yogurt and cereal, cheeses, ham, juices, coffee. Supposedly you can get eggs made for you if you ask. Room #105, by the way, was large and comfortable and right above the kitchen, where there was a surprisingly amount of clanging going on. It had no view.

Room Tip: #105 is large, nice and comfortable but right above the kitchen. I had requested a quiet room, and w...

“wonderful trip to Granada, nice hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 June 2011

Granada is a wonderful place to visit. Inglaterra was a nice hotel - lots of character, clean, friendly staff (but not overly helpful), and good location.
There is a lift, which is a luxury as so many hotels don't have one in Europe.
The 'wi-fi' is only available from the lobby and for 1/2 hour a day, so I think there's room for improvement. However, my group was generally too busy to use the computer anyway.
Request extra pillows ahead of time.
Good shopping & great good right around the corner. Pan y Chocolate is a must for delicious pastries & sandwiches.

“Great location, clean and confortable”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 April 2011

This is a charming little hotel right in the center of the town on a smaller street, only steps from the Granada Cathedral and the Plaza Nueva. The rooms are small but not restrictive. The bathrooms seem to have been recently refinished. If you arrive in Granada by train or bus, you can take one of several city buses into the town and get off at the Cathedral stop. The hotel is about 100 yards away from the bus stop. There are plenty of cafes, bars, restaurants, and ATM machines in the neighborhood. The hotel has breakfast option but we decided to venture out. There is a free Wifi in the lobby but you need to get a password from the front desk, and each password is only good for 30 min.
