Brilliant hotel, brilliant value for money, brilliant staff. Yes its a little dated and could be doing with a make over inside the rooms, but one of the best hotels i've stayed in. There was a lot of Spanish OAP's that took over the bar area for long periods of the day and night, which made it hard to get a seat. I was also there when the English lads broke a door (not trashed) and resulted in 26 Spanish police making an appearance for an hour. That is the result of 49 Leeds lads on All Exclusive!
The staff where very nice and friendly also.
The only down fall with this hotel is the ground floor toilets, as you walk out of the lift the smell waffts right up your nose. I think the may be needing their plumbimg looked at. But all in all a fantastic hotel and fantastic location.

Hotel is ideally situated 3 minutes from Torremolinos railway station and about 7 minutes walk from the bus station. In a commercial area a fair walk (and down a steep hill) to the beach.
Hotel itself is a bit dated, especially the bathrooms. Ours had some cracked tiles, badly stained wc bowl and a bathroom door which was rotten at the bottom due to water damage. However maids did keep rooms very clean. We were on all inclusive so knew the type of food we were likely to get. For institutional type food it was actually quite good with plenty of choice. Worst thing is the grossly overcooked vegetables (like I remember from school dinners).
Local drinks available in bar 11am to 11pm. Red wine, Sangria and water on tap in restaurant. If you want white wine with your meal simply ask one of the waitresses and they will bring you a bottle. It is included in the AI package. All staff very friedly and helpful as well as extremely long suffering.Mostly Spanish OAP's at this time of the year but unfortunately also attracted a bunch of lager louts from North of England at the weekend. They trashed the bar resulting in staff having to close it for an hour (at 5pm) and seek assistance from Spanish police. 4 squad cars and 2 wagons appeared to explain to these morons that this is not the Spanish way.
Spanish OAP's simply could not understand this type of behavoiur as they are very polite.

After reading all bad reviews about Roc El Pinar prior to our visit was unable to form my own opinion as it was shut down when we arrived on the doorstep. What a bonus. We were quickly moved to sister hotel The Flamingo nearer to all the resort has to offer. Paid £62 for 3 nights all inclusive and got value for money on food alone. Different choice every meal time. Hotel itself clean and rooms ok. Only downside was doors were all loose on their fittings and we had two instances were doors caused injury. All in all though a nice place to stay.

We went to Roc Flamingo as we have done for a number of years. Over the years it has been good, the last 2 to 3 years it has got terrible especially the food. You seem to get the same food rehashed 2 days running. Even for breakfast there was pasta from the night before. The staff has always been great, but if they do not get their act together i think they will loose a lot more customers.
