Just got back from a weeks break at the Royal Costa....What a lovely hotel. Upon entering the hotel I had a good feel. The staff were all really helpful. Walked into our room and was amazed at just how clean it was..gleaming in fact. It has a bar inside by the restuarant, all spotlessly clean too. Went all inclusive only cost £590 for 2 of us everything included(flights, baggage, transfer and board). Okay the restuarant does not serve chips every night, but what it does do is give you a fair selection of main courses, starters and puddings. I tried food i'd never had before so it was good experience for more. Outside there is a pool bar plenty of tables and chairs, plenty of sunloungers for use around the pool or the lawned area. The grounds are well kept and maintainted. To the far side of the lawned area there is a pool and games table to. The hotel is away from the main strip, which means you can sleep on a night with the added bonus of air-con.
Right next to the hotel is Los Alamos train station, which is good to use to explore from Malaga right down to Fuengerolla. The most you will pay for a ticket is 3euro return. Also the train will take you into the heart of torremollinos for 1euro if you dont fancy walking for 20mins.The beach really is only a 10min walk, under the subway at the train station and carry on walking straight down the road...and its there! If you then turn right it will take you down the main strip. The beach has bars and restuarants about every 50metres so there is plenty to keep you entertained.
If you dont want to venture too far from the hotel, then there are a handful of bar-restuarants at the top of the street..just past Saint Elena Hospital...which are nice and chilled out.
We went on the gibralter tour while we were there, we booked it in the town....brilliant day out.but the weather was a bit strange...very sunny and warm in La Linear Spain but 2 stops across the border cloudy and windy...typical british weather ha ha....You can use pounds or euros but it works out cheaper in pounds when buying your duty free. And make sure you go and see the apes! its an experience!! It is quite a long journey to Gibralter, it takes just under 3hours and that was on the express coach...I think we would have been better taking the slower coach as this stops half way and you can get a drink and stretch your legs.
All in all a brilliant holiday and a great hotel!!
