“Friendliness and Cleanliness”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 October 2011

Just got back from a weeks break at the Royal Costa....What a lovely hotel. Upon entering the hotel I had a good feel. The staff were all really helpful. Walked into our room and was amazed at just how clean it was..gleaming in fact. It has a bar inside by the restuarant, all spotlessly clean too. Went all inclusive only cost £590 for 2 of us everything included(flights, baggage, transfer and board). Okay the restuarant does not serve chips every night, but what it does do is give you a fair selection of main courses, starters and puddings. I tried food i'd never had before so it was good experience for more. Outside there is a pool bar plenty of tables and chairs, plenty of sunloungers for use around the pool or the lawned area. The grounds are well kept and maintainted. To the far side of the lawned area there is a pool and games table to. The hotel is away from the main strip, which means you can sleep on a night with the added bonus of air-con.
Right next to the hotel is Los Alamos train station, which is good to use to explore from Malaga right down to Fuengerolla. The most you will pay for a ticket is 3euro return. Also the train will take you into the heart of torremollinos for 1euro if you dont fancy walking for 20mins.The beach really is only a 10min walk, under the subway at the train station and carry on walking straight down the road...and its there! If you then turn right it will take you down the main strip. The beach has bars and restuarants about every 50metres so there is plenty to keep you entertained.
If you dont want to venture too far from the hotel, then there are a handful of bar-restuarants at the top of the street..just past Saint Elena Hospital...which are nice and chilled out.
We went on the gibralter tour while we were there, we booked it in the town....brilliant day out.but the weather was a bit strange...very sunny and warm in La Linear Spain but 2 stops across the border cloudy and windy...typical british weather ha ha....You can use pounds or euros but it works out cheaper in pounds when buying your duty free. And make sure you go and see the apes! its an experience!! It is quite a long journey to Gibralter, it takes just under 3hours and that was on the express coach...I think we would have been better taking the slower coach as this stops half way and you can get a drink and stretch your legs.
All in all a brilliant holiday and a great hotel!!

“Great late holiday over the last seven days”

We have just returned from a weeks break at the Royal Costa and it was a three star hotel in its rights. The hotel was only two stops from the airport and only cost 1.40 euro. The area was quite and if you wanted more life then the train was the best option with access to Malaga, Fuengirola, Benalmandena and Torremolinos at a cost of 2.55 euros return(every 18 minutes).
The hotel reception and areas were very clean, The room we had was very clean and looked as if it had just been painted. Room service was every day and very good. Dinning room was spacious and well laid out. You had the choice of soup, cold salads, hot food consisting of pork, chicken, fish and pastas. Fresh fruit, sweets were also available and if you were not on all inclusive wines and drinks could be purchased with your meals. Breakfast was a mix of hot food as well as continental cheeses and bread with fresh fruit as well.
The outside area consisted of a large clean pool and children's small pool surrounded with sunbeds. A seating area was available for patrons around the bar and a grass area for putting sunbeds. This hotel is for people who what peace and quite but also for families as we noted plenty. A mix nationalities use the hotel as we met French, Spanish, Irish, British, Americans and Russian people. We would use this hotel again and recommend it to anyone who wanted to use it as a base to explore or a nice holiday which is close to the airport and close to a fantastic beech and amenities.

Room Tip: All rooms had a good bathroom. All rooms had great double glazing as there is a railway and airport...

“Very Pleasant Stay Late September”

The Royal Costa lives up to all expectations for a good quality 3 star hotel - exceeding the rating in many areas.
Very clean, conveniently located for airport transfers to and from Los Alamos station 2 stops and around 1.5 euros - a better option than a taxi for most people.
Rooms clean and 3 star equipt with aircon and we had room over looking pool.
The all inclusive was a bonus - wide selection of food, the hotel caters for mostly Spanish tourists - drinks included were helpful, especially the beer although other non branded drinks not very strong.
Overall great value - would stay again

“Fantastic 6 day break”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 October 2011

Just home from a 6 day holiday, very impresed. Hotel spotlessly clean and run super efficiently.
10 mins from a long sandy beach, and a few bars, try the sardines cooked on the beach fantastic.
Pool is rather deep 5ft in the shallow end 10ft in the deep end so not to great for the kids if they cant swim very well..
Food in the hotel is just like an other allinclusive a bit repetative.
The Train is great value(puts ours to shame) no need for transfers as you cansee the station from the pool area.
Would deffinately go again

“nice clean hotel near to train station and 10 minute walk from beach, nothing else nearby you will need the train to explore.”

we stayed all inclusive for seven nights, had no problem with check in,hotel was clean. There was four of us in a single room which had good aircon and decent a bathroom, two pull out beds had been put in for our children. Mealtimes varied i never went hungry but im not fussy, generally the same stuff each day with a few differences made it is more spanish orientated as mentioned by other people but its spain so i didnt see a problem i just tried new things. The hotel was quiet for a few days when we first arrived and got a bit more full as the week went on,i really enjoyed my stay if anything the negatives for me where the main pool being so deep, the lack of entertainment (but we met two couples from ireland and wales we had a great laugh with which made up for the abba cd on repeat) and the hotel isnt near anything so we had to get a train to have a look around any shops etc. Major lack of snacks during the daytime unless you like olives and pate in a burger roll,The bar was all inc until 11pm but stayed open until around 1 so if you want to stay up later without paying extra, stock up on drinks like we did ;) also use the train for transfers it is so close by,we paid for transfers doh!
