“adequate for the price”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 January 2006

My husband and I have just spent a week here from 31st Dec till 7th Jan. We found the hotel more than adequate for the price we paid which was only £234 for half board between us. OK its not the "Ritz" but we didnt pay that much. The room was basic, but clean and spacious, the staff lovely, food OK. In a perfect position right by Saint Miguel Street. There is a lift down to sea level which operates from 9am to 9pm. Cut through a side alley on left down St Miguel St just before Cina Town Restaurant. when you come out of lift go down steps and just follow road down to prom which is the length of Torremolinos left and right, its a nice walk especially towards Benelmadena port. Anyway try this hotel if you can get a bargain.

“Noisy and basic accommodation in the centre of Town”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 August 2005

Stayed in this hotel the last week of July 2005 and was generally disapointed with this characterless establishment. The bathroom was clean but quite smelly and the room was sparsely furnished with no character attall!
There were two single beds that were adequate and a balcony overlooking the junction of a busy main road with Ave Mantiales which was good for people watching as this was more or less opposite to the main supermarket and McDonalds restaurant not far from the popular shopping street of calle san miguel.
Quite a walk down the hundred steps to the beach but overall quite central to the most interesting town centre shopping area.
The rooms are not insulated from the noise of other guests in their rooms or even on their balconies, it felt like a rabbit warrren in there.
Air conditioning priced at 10 euros to hire remote barely adequate to cope with temperatures reaching 35 Celcius during the day and humid mid twenties at night. I would not reccomend this place to anyone the only good point were the superb room cleaners doing their best for the guests.

“The tipping point test”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 May 2005

people found this review helpful

All hotels have their good and bad points. The Adriano has a number of things in its favour, including the location (close to main square and railway station), good sized bathrooms, balconies, price and airconditioning/TV. Against, there were the thin walls, even thinner towels, cigarette smoke odour (no non smoking option offered), substandard mattresses, and glass hot house for a breakfast room. If asked whether we would stay again (the tipping point test), the answer would be no.

“A Great Little Hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 March 2005

Although not 'on the Waterfront' - this Hotel is nicely situated on the corner of the Main square of the Town...the little street it faces has it's own charm, with bars, taxi rank and restaurants just outside the front doors. To even sit on the balcony and sip a drink after a walk in the Sun is enjoyable, watching the World go by beneath...for all this - it is not a noisy place either. The rooms were very adequate, and roomy - with splendid bathrooms complete with a bidet. The restaurant is a 'penthouse' one, with wonderful views of the Sea and Mountains...and you can also sit 'outdoors' on the same level....wonderful in the Sun. The food was 'OK', and plenty of it....the receptionist was VERY helpful and spoke good English, (Sophia) -I hope she is still there - she's worth her weight in Gold. The rooms facing the Square looked VERY decent from the restaurant above...they looked to have large type balconies appointed to them..which would be the best of both Worlds for the views alone !
