Myself and my girlfriend stayed at the Marconfort Griego Hotel from 1st till 8th Feb 2012. We didn't pay much and got great value for money.
The hotel has lots of positives and a number of negatives. On the plus side, it's clean and tidy, but is a bit dated. The Staff at reception are very helpful and speak a number of langauges (Especially David Vegus). The restaurant can get very busy at times, but the buffet food was of good quality with lots of different selections, I always left with a full stomach. The hotel main building has ten floors with only two lifts, rooms high up have a better view of the sea and are further from the road so quiter, but this means more stairs to climb at busy times. The hotel is located in a residential area with shops and restaurants around, just a short walk to the town centre. However its a long way from the beach.
We had a hire car and managed to find car parking in the streets around the hotel on most occasions, but on a couple of occasions had to drive around looking for a space.
We used the hotel as a base to travel all around the Costa De Sol and for that purpose it was great, we never sent the day there, after breakfast we went out and didn't return until the evening.
The week that we were there the vast majority of the other guests were elderly (65-75 year old) Spanish couples / groups. So it was quite.
I would go back again
