At €30 a night (off-season) for a spacious double room via booking.com, you really can't go wrong at Hotel Zen! Aircon/heating in rooms. Sattelite TV. Good water pressure and spacious bathroom/shower. Immaculately clean. Swimming pool/loungers. Cafe/bar next to reception. Friendly staff. Vending machines (that work!) for water/snacks/cigarettes. What's more it's only 5 KM from Malaga airport, with an excellent and cheap local train service (La Colina) to the airport and city centre. I live in Nerja (70 KM east of Malaga), and use this hotel any time I fly home or want to stay over in Malaga. Highly recommended!

Stayed at Zen for the first night since it is close to the airport. Was impressed with the cleanliness and size of the rooms. I had read reviews about the rooms being small before booking. But it was not the case. Decided to stay another night. We also spent the last night of our trip at Zen. The pool was unoccupied most of the time. The beds were comfortable and showers had great pressure. The location was not an issue as we had GPS navigation. Parking was available outside the hotel. I would definitely go back to the hotel especially for the bargain price that we paid.

Me and a friend of mine went on a last minute holiday, to have a quiet holiday! No druken antics. The hotel is great, i would say its more than a two Star hotel. The only thing that is wrong with the hotel is that it could do with a fridge in the room, other than that, we loved it. Clean rooms, pool was clean, plenty of sunshine so no need to go down to the beach. Food is available at most times, they make baguettes for you if you want, and they taste great. You can walk to the beach- 15 mins, the train station is a 15 min walk also. Getting food or going out in the evening isnt a problem. There are plenty of places to eat. I would most definately go back here. We went to a 4 star hotel down the road to eat, and it was nothing compared to Hotel Zen. If you want somewhere quiet and where there are friendly staff - this is the place to be!

My husband and myself stayed at the Zen for 10 nights. Although it is up a steep hill we could not fault the staff or cleaniness of the hotel. My only problem was there was no safe in the room although i worried for nothing. Very relaxing holiday great for the money.
