I booked a surprise getaway for my wife and I an admittedly it was out of season but I really would have expected much more. We took a standard room which turned out to be a second bedroom off of a junior suite with a lockable door but still ok. The room was poorly stocked with sanitary items and we had to almost beg to get what should have been there., but worst of all on the second night we woke to hear someone trying to open the connecting door even though no one was staying in the connecting suite. We reported the incident to reception and after 10 minutes no one had come to check I rang reception again and was told no one was in the room and there was nothing on the corridor camera’s, after insisting on the room being checked we were shown the room and it was implied we had heard things as the room was secure. The next day after not sleeping I went through the connecting balcony to the room to check the outside doors for myself as couldn’t understand what the noise was if not the door, only to find one of the locks to the patio doors was broken and couldn’t be locked. When I confronted front of house again they eventually admitted that they had called in maintenance to fix it as it was broken and access could be gained from the roof of the hotel in to the suite. To my dismay we still didn’t get any apology even. The only thing the hotel was prepared to do was move us to a different room but even this was said begrudgingly and it was stated we would have to be moved to a room next to an occupied suite but it wasn’t so good or made up yet the hotel was almost empty? Not even an apology from management and a spoilt long weekend with hardly any sleep not impressed

If you make the mistake of leaving anything in this hotel post check out......tough......not only will they deny that their staff are culpable, they also refuse to send the goods they did find back to you......obviously it has to be divvied up.....we won't be going back!

We are currently 4 persons staying in Guadalpin Puerto Banus, 2 rooms. The timing is off season, so we are not very many at the hotel but as we all have a very tight schedule normally, it is nice to spend a Chrismas away from home.

The hotel is clean, the rooms are big enough and quiet. A good positive surprise is a small kitchette in the roomas the men eat quite much and often as they are sporty. So it is possible to buy some quark and fruit at the supermarket after lunch/dinner.

The gym has basis equipment (stepper, boåike, weights, some extra), clean dressing rooms, tje breakfast is vatiable enough (healthy but many vqrieties depending on what you ent).

Environment is good, not far from Marbella (you can easily have your moring run and back to the hotel before the Christmas).

Business center ok, works with coins (internet, basic programs, printer). Some problems with the printer but the personnel is very service minded and was pleased to help with the problem and helped with scanning of a document, too.

We recommend this hotel for sports, relax - and however not very far from all the possibilities.with dancing, casino etc if you like it. We like clean, relaxing hotel with good sleep and breakfast and this hotwls provides both.

Much space in th hotel, not so " luxurous" outlok as e.g. Bue good service,

Stayed here in December and, whilst admittedly out of season, the feeling that this hotel had seen better days still emanated throughout. On arriving the frontage is well kept and looked after and you think that the hotel could be of a high standard. What lay behind however gave the impression of one of those buildings in spaghetti Westerns with a front and planks holding it up behind. The hotel is desperate for an overhaul. Everything is peeling off anything that can peel. It just looks like it needs a good scrub.

Also, as we were out of season, it would have made sense to me to provide as decent a room as possible, it's no more difficult to clean, yet the room I had was tiny, tucked away at the back of the hotel.

The staff at breakfast were pleasant and there seemed an enormous amount of food prepared for what could only have been a handful of guests. But I have no complaints here. The food was good.

When we checked out there was one person acting as concierge and front desk. Needless to say the results of this were predictable with queues growing and, I can only assume, a Manager of some description wandering behind the desk on his mobile ignoring all the guests waiting to check out in front of an empty front desk.

It's not one I'll be rushing back to in the near future.
