“GOOD LOCATION AND VALUE”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 January 2012

people found this review helpful

We arranged the rental of three apartments for a group of friend on a golfing trip to the area.
The apartments did differ in style and furnishings but the feedback was good due to the close location of many bars and restaurants and close proximity to the Port. Everyone enjoyed the great views the apartments offer as well as the great January weather. The penthouse apartments that were rented were particular favorites and everyone would be happy to return.

“Good value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 September 2011

We had a group of 20, staying for a hen do. Had 4 seperate apartments. Each one was of a good size and comforatble decor. Balconys are huge, perfect for drinks before heading into Puerto Banus.

Close to a supermarket and few restaurants, with several large and very nice pools.

There are a lot of stairs so maybe not so suitable for the less mobile. For us however it was perfect, and very peaceful considering the number of stag and hen parties that visit the area.

The complex manager was amazing, Easyjet lost my luggage and she sorted out the delivery of it. Very very helpful given my terrible understanding of spanish. Will Defo return :)

“Varied apartment quality and lack of amenitites”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 July 2011

I stayed here from Friday to Monday for a hen do. The complex is comprised of a few 4/5 storey blocks that appeared to be mostly privately owned and there are two pool areas with loungers. We booked three apartments and were located in three different blocks. The apartments we were given varied in quality although all were nice with two or more balconies and some were duplexes. They also had different sized balconies with some being huge and all a decent size.

Our apartment had the worst interior and the least space, but had a huge balcony and two decent sized bathrooms and two bedrooms. The air-con only worked in one of the rooms and there was no toilet roll, a smashed pot on the balcony and out of date food in the fridge on arrival. Also on the last night the water was turned off so we showered in our friends room on the last morning.

On arrival the reception was open to book us in and take our deposit, but was then closed until Monday and was only open between 09:30 and 14:00 Monday to Friday. There were emergency mobile numbers that we could call at our own expense, but only security guards and a life guard on site outside these times. There was good on-site security.

There is also no shop, restaurant, pool bar etc. on the complex although there is a pretty good small supermarket less than 5 minutes walk from the apartments and a cheap Italian restaurant across the road and other shops close by. The apartments are also only a short walk from Puerta Banus beach and also walking distance from the marina.

The apartments wouldn't be suitable for wheelchair users or people with walking difficulties as there are a number of steps to climb to enter, exit and walk around the complex.

The apartments provide transport to and from the airport at a cost. This service was not the most reliable and we only just made it to the airport in time on the way home.

I would still recommend these apartments, as they were nice apartments and only cost us £62.00 each to rent three two to four bed apartments between 11 people, but they don't have hotel style facilities or management, which was pretty inconvenient given the problems with our apartment.

“Excellent apartments for an excellent price”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 August 2010

We stayed here for 3 nights for a hen weekend. I must say I was quite apprehensive about staying at these apartments having read some of the reviews however, I can honestly say that they were great.

The apartments were decorated nicely with lots of space. We had a two bedroom apartment. One with a double bed and an en suite, the other with twin beds next to another bathroom. There was a large balcony to the front which could be accessed from the twin bedroom and the living room. There was also a balcony to the back with access from the double bedroom and access to a smaller balcony from the kitchen. The kitchen was fully equipped with all that you could need for a really long stay including toaster, microwave, toastie maker etc.

We booked through booking.com however, it did appear that the apartment was owned by somebody and rented out. There was a TV, DVD player, SKY box, reading books etc. The showers were really powerful however, they do go cold if you are the last one in.

The pool was really nice but there are sometimes a shortage of beds. There are a few pools on this complex but we didnt check them all out, we just stayed at the one nearest to us.

Over the road from the hotel is a little restaurant which serves great food at great prices. They do a 3 course fixed price menu for 9.95 in the day and 12.95 in the evening. This included a choice of 3 starters, 3 mains and 3 desserts and included dishes like steaks and sea food on the menu. This was well worth the money and cheaper than anywhere near the harbour.

The harbour was expensive but we already knew that it would be before we went and we only went to drink and party so it was fine. For spirit and mixer or bottles of alcopops you are looking at around 6/7 Euro's. Half a lager was about 3 Euro's. Wine was about 6 Euros.

Anyone going to this part of Spain I would recommend a trip to Nikki's Beach. It's a VIP beach club just outside of Marbella. They have large sun loungers that are like double beds and play music all day long. Everyone is up dancing and they have dancers on podiums. You can sunbathe on the beach or rent one of their beds for 150 euros for the day. This sounds like a lot but if you are going for a hen weekend and want something a bit more special then its well worth springing the money especially when you can fit about 4 of you on a bed and so can split it. you also get free champagne when you rent a bed. there were people running around spraying people with champagne. Definitely worth a visit.

If you want to visit Marbella the easiest way to do it is to get a boat from Puerto Banus harbour. It takes about 30 mins and is 15 Euro's return. Its also a nice little boat ride and better than a taxi. We took a taxi from here to Nikki's beach.

For nights out we got the best deals at Linekars bar. Sinatras is also very good. If you are going on a hen or stag weekend or for any special occasion you can go on Linekars website and book one of their packages, most of which are free. For example we had a private booth, free champers on arrival, a banner with the hens name on it, a waiter and lots of free shots. All of this for free. Its worth doing especially cus the place gets really busy and you feel thankful for having somewhere to sit down if you want to.

Would definitely go back to Puerto banus and would stay at these apartments again. taxi from the apartments to the harbour is about 7 Euro's. The restaurant from over the road is happy to order one for you.
